WWE Superstar Ivar of The Viking Raiders is undergoing neck surgery tomorrow, September 15 according to a report by F4WOnline.
Ivar is reportedly already in Birmingham, Alabama for the surgery. He has been dealing with neck issues for some time.
On last week’s Raw, Ivar was participating in an 8-man tag team match with Erik, Ricochet, and Apollo Crews against The Hurt Business. Toward the end of the match, Ivar went for a Viking Dive (suicide dive) and upon landing immediately crossed his arms to signal an “X,” the designation for a legitimate injury.
WWE initially announced Ivar was transported to a hospital as a precaution and that he had a cervical injury. The company stated he would make a full recovery. Information came out later in the week that Ivar’s injury was worse than feared and might require surgery.
It is unclear how long Ivar will be out of action following the surgery.
We will continue to follow this developing story.
