WWE took to Twitter Friday to thank fans for helping make ThunderDome trend worldwide on social media.
The ThunderDome concept debuted during last night’s episode Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, which took place from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
ThunderDome features a state-of-the-art set, video boards, pyrotechnics, lasers, cutting-edge graphics and drone cameras. Fans that register to be part of ThunderDome appear virtually with live feeds shown on over 1,000 LED boards.
ThunderDome will also be a part of this Sunday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view. WWE also noted for fans to be on the look out to register for a virtual seat for this Monday’s Raw.
During a recent city council meeting for Orange County, Mayor Buddy Dwyer confirmed that WWE will be at the Amway Center through Friday, October 30. Raw, SmackDown, and pay-per-view events will air live from the arena. Dwyer also mentioned during the meeting that WWE will implement additional safety and cleaning protocols.
It is unclear if WWE will be able to extend beyond the 60 day residency.
Thanks for joining the first-ever #WWEThunderDome on #SmackDown and making it trend WORLDWIDE!
Don’t miss #WWEThunderDome at #SummerSlam this Sunday, and be on the look out to register for your virtual seat at #WWERaw this Monday!
