After weeks of speculation regard the “forthcoming” new location of SummerSlam, it appears WWE will be holding the event at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
According to F4WOnline and multiple other sources, the Amway Center is said to be the planned location for the Biggest Party of the Summer. WWE has not run a show outside of the WWE Performance Center (aside from cinematic matches) since the March 9 episode of Raw, which was right before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the world to begin shutting down.
As soon as the decision is finalized with the Amway Center, it is expected the company will make an announcement.
It is also being reported that tickets will not be sold for the event and the company will continue to have Performance Center recruits in the crowd.
Rumors have stated that WWE had been considering having the event either on a beach or a boat, with Atlantic City, New Jersey being floated as a possible location.
WWE will be broadcasting next week’s Friday Night SmackDown live from the Performance Center, as well as NXT TakeOver XXX the next day.
