According to a Twitter post from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the finish to the Young Bucks vs. The Butcher and the Blade Falls Count Anywhere match from this past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite topped over one million viewers.
AEW CEO and President Tony Khan responded to Meltzer confirming his report by stating that the last-five minutes of the show featuring the match had 1,018,000 viewers total between 8:55 pm and 9:00 pm ET, and that 502,000 of those viewers were in the key 18-49 demographic.
This past week, AEW Dynamite out drew WWE NXT in both viewership and in the key the 18-49 demographic, with an average of 845,000 viewers, and a 0.32 average rating.
