To follow up on reports from last week about Paul Heyman taking part in a conference call with Spike TV, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports those on the Spike side were very impressed with Heyman. However, that doesn’t mean a deal with TNA is imminent or even happening as the last word is that any talks of it taking place have quieted down dramatically. Plus, ratings for TNA Impact the last two weeks have shown increases and the network was very impressed with the numbers given heavy competition from “Jersey Shore” on MTV. There was some talk among Spike executives at the last set of tapings that giving Heyman creative control would be a good idea. Heyman continues to tell close friends he won’t be going unless they meet his demands and doesn’t believe anything will come of the talks.
