Two new matches and new participants in the Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Matches were announced on tonight’s SmackDown.
The WWE Universal Championship match has been determined. Braun Strowman will defend the championship against Bray Wyatt. Wyatt brought Strowman to WWE in 2015 as a member of the Wyatt Family.
Another match created tonight is Bayley defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Tamina. Tamina defeated Sasha Banks to earn the opportunity. Daniel Bryan also qualified for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match by defeating Cesaro, while Dana Brooke defeated Naomi to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
It was also announced that the Money in the Bank Ladder Matches will be taking place at WWE Headquarters. The match will start on the ground floor and the competitors will have to work their way up to the roof, where the briefcase will be suspended over a ring.
