After weeks of resisting calls for stronger statewide measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Governor Ron DeSantis issued an order to have Florida’s residents stay home. People will only be able to leave their homes for essential activities.
The order will go into effect on Thursday, April 2 at midnight and will last for 30 days. President Donald Trump extended the national guidelines to combat COVID-19 to April 30.
It is unknown how this will impact WWE’s tapings at the Performance Center. A request for information from WWE was not immediately returned. WWE finished taping all shows up to the Raw after WrestleMania (and possibly a few weeks worth of NXT shows) last week before Orange County issued a stay at home order that went into effect last Thursday at 11 p.m. EST.
AEW reportedly moved their operations out of Florida to an undisclosed location thought to be in the southwest. They were taping episodes of Dynamite and Dark at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
We will continue to follow this story as more becomes available.
