The Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, stated in a press conference earlier today that he is recommending all local authorities to cancel or postpone all mass gatherings of people over the next 30 days.
While the governor does not have the authority to force leagues or entertainment events to cancel events, he is strongly urging the actions to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
WWE officials, reportedly including Vince McMahon, are down in Tampa. Tampa’s Mayor Castor will be holding a meeting with city officials today to discuss large events in the city. Castor stated in a press conference earlier that they do not have to take immediate action on events weeks down the road like WrestleMania.
