WWE Raw kicks off with a video package from last week’s show. We see Edge’s comeback with Randy Orton attacking him.
Live in the arena it’s Randy Orton’s song which hits as the camera cuts to a fan holding up a sign saying “Why, Randy Why?” We are told on commentary that Edge is at home resting. Orton slowly takes his time walking down to the ring. Orton gets in the ring as the fans boo.
A loud “You suck” chant from the crowd. He gets in the ring, climbs the second rope but doesn’t pose. He asks for a microphone as the fans continue to boo. He says “Look I” as the fans boo and cut him off. Orton says he guesses he owes everybody an explanation. They start to chant “Edge” as Orton looks around. Orton says last week but the fans cut him off again and chant “You suck” again.
Orton once more tries to talk but the fans won’t let him. He says he can’t do this as he places the microphone down in the middle of the ring and leaves the ring.
We cut to commentary as they try to discuss and make of Orton’s actions last week.
Clips of the men’s Royal Rumble match air as we see McIntyre eliminating Brock Lesnar and winning the match.
Orton is the biggest heel in the company. His body and facial expressions were top notch. Great and simple start to #Raw tonight.

We see a clip of Drew McIntyre from last week celebrating his Royal Rumble match win. McIntyre challenged Brock Lesnar for the WWE championship at Wrestlemania.
Drew McIntyre vs. Mojo Rawley with Riddick Moss
A pop from the crowd in favor of McIntyre. Rawley, holding his 24/7 championship is smiling in the ring. The fans chant “Drew” as he grabs a microphone and thanks everyone for fighting the blizzard and making it to Raw. He tells Mojo as soon as he puts the microphone down, three seconds later, he will Claymroe his head off to which the fans cheer.
Drew wants to talk about Brock Lesnar. He says in the clip from last week, Brock attacked him from behind. And that’s just fine with him because that tells him Lesnar is apprehensive of the sexy Scotsman. He knows he is just as big, fast and he has a secret weapon which knocked him out of the Rumble, the Claymore. And come Wrestlemania he’s going to kick that oversized head off his body and he will finally be WWE champion. The fans cheer. Drew jokes and says he forgot Mojo was there. He says three seconds. The bell rings as Rawley is putting away his 24/7 championship. Drew hits him with the Claymore. McIntyre goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Charly Caruso is backstage with Buddy Murphy and AOP. She asks them about their strategy for tonight. Murphy says as far as they are concerned, they already won tonight’s match and are with The Monday Night Messiah. In comes Seth Rollins. He says tonight is a huge match for them and to prepare as he has this. They leave the scene with Seth staying.
Caruso asks him about his triple threat match tonight. Rollins says life has a funny way of working itself out. Just when you think all is lost, it comes through. Last week he was thrown out of the Rumble and this week he finds himself with a second chance. He says he has beaten Brock Lesnar twice, taken Lesnar’s title twice and he knows McIntyre has his heart set at facing Lesnar at Wrestlemania but the writing is on the wall for him. He needs to start preparing for a new Wrestlemania opponent. He needs to start preparing for the Monday night Messiah.
Absolutely loving what they are doing with Drew McIntyre. He's getting better on the mic, the crowd is behind him and they have him as a dominant figure on #Raw which only helps in his build up.

Charly Caruso is backstage with Ricochet. She asks him about his triple threat match tonight. Ricochet says this is a chance to compete for the WWE championship. And since he was a 14 year old kick, he wanted to prove he can be the best. He knows he’s not as big or strong as Lashley. He doesn’t have a gang like Rollins. He has to sue something that has gotten him here. And tonight, as slim as it may be, it’s his chance to prove that determination can outweigh probability. And what this means to him, is that it means everything to him.
Not a bad match but just too many tag team matches lately. I wonder if they had this drag on because of the weather and some #Raw talent couldn't make the show?

Humberto Carrillo is in the ring as Angel Garza’s music hits. He comes out with Zelina Vega.
Zelina says look who it is. She asks Humberto is he’s surprised. She asks Humberto is surprised because nobody smart plays fair. Vulnerability is a liability and she found his. When you mess with her business, she doesn’t pay the price. You pay the price. Standing next to her is not a hired hitman because Humberto viciously DDT’d Andrade into the concrete last week. It’s much worse. Standing next to her is a former NXT champion. Standing next to her is the hottest latino prospect. Standing next to her is Humberto Carrillo’s cousin Angel Garza.
He tells Humberto he knows he is shocked but there is a reason. They both know right now, in this era, he is the leader of their family. Garza says Humberto answers to him. And to their family, to their Latinos, it was a disgrace what he did last week. Humberto grabs the microphone. Humberto says disgrace? He comes out all arrogantly. And as he starts talking to Zelina, Garza attacks him. Garza hits him with the Wing Clipper.
Garza throws Carrillo to the outside and into the ring steps. Zelina takes off the mat on the outside. Garza grabs Carrillo and as he’s about to go for the DDT, Rey Mysterio’s music hits. Rey comes running down as Garza gets into the ring. The fans chant “619” as Rey gets in the ring.
While they are keeping Andrade away from #Raw due to the drug violation, they are doing something with Zelina Vega to continue the story with Carrillo. Pretty smart by creative.

A fun match on #Raw between Angel Garza and Rey Mysterio. The fans weren't happy with the finish but I understand why they did it.

Charlotte Flair Wrestlemania challenge

She tells Charlotte that she did win the women’s Royal Rumble and she gets to challenge for any title she wants at Wrestlemania. And like she said, she has already beaten Becky and Bayley. Rhea says but she hasn’t beaten her.
Ripley says as a matter of fact, she has actually beaten her. Rhea says if she is going to challenge for any title at Wrestlemania and then she raises her championship. Charlotte walks towards her and looks at the championship. Flair leaves the ring as the crowd boo her.
Flair says “Wooo” and walks away as Ripley raises her championship in the air.
Sarah Schreiber is backstage with Lashley. She asks him for his battle plan for tonight and if he’s distracted by Lana’s defeat earlier. He says he’s not distracted because his wife’s match was her match. They will celebrate tonight when he wins and gets the opportunity he deserves. He says he will beat both Rollins and Ricochet because he is the one man that can back up a bold statement. And after he wins, here’s the spoiler. He will defeat Brock Lesnar and go on to Wrestlemania as the WWE champion. And when he goes to Wrestlemania, he will beat Drew McIntyre and remain the WWE champion.
I know some people mentioned Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley for Wrestlemania but I didn't think they would actually go for it. And then the NXT champion shows up on #Raw to challenge Flair. I'm sold.

And if she thinks she wants to drink from that fountain again, she is right because she does. But she thinks why would she put her championship on the line so close to Wrestlemania? Lynch says because the only thing more fun than beating her ass once would be beating her again. Lynch says she’s on.
Sane tries to attack Lynch from behind but Lynch throws her to the outside. Lynch turns around and flexes on Asuka telling her she has eyes in the back of her head. Lynch grabs her WWE championship and leaves.
Natalya and Asuka are two of the best female wrestlers in the WWE. And their match tonight on #Raw proved it. My one thing would be that at times it was too slow but it didn't take anything away from the match. Great effort from both women.

Rollins says now it is his time to once again dethrone Brock Lesnar as the fans don’t appear to like it. He says he made that promise this time last year and he got a different response. He says he promised he would go to Wrestlemania and beat Lesnar for the Universal title and that’s exactly what he did. And he took that title and he defended it all across the world. From here to Paris, to Tokyo, to Seattle, to New York City. And instead of a proper welcome, he got crucified.
Rollins says he doesn’t hate them for it. Rollins says he’s here to say thank you. It’s because of them that he is the man that he is today. The man he has become and so proud of. ANd he is going to dethrone Brock Lesnar once again but this time it won’t be for him or for the fans but for the greater good. For something that you cannot begin to understand. It will be remembered in 10, 20, 100 years. He will go down as the man who saved this industry. Drew McIntyre won’t go to Wrestlemania to fight the beast, he will go to fight the Monday Night Messiah.
