WWE has confirmed on Twitter (view below) that Humberto Carrillo will challenge Andrade for the WWE United States Championship at this Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per view.
Following his return on Raw Monday night, Carrillo issed a challenge to Andrade on the Raw Exclusive that aired on YouTube after the show went off the air (view above).
Humberto Carrillo last appeared on the December 16, 2019 episosde of Raw when he took a hammerlock DDT on the exposed concrete by Andrade during the number 1 contenders gauntlet match to determine the next challenger for the United States title.
Andrade defended the United States Championship against Rey Mysterio in a ladder match on this past Monday’s Raw. He successfully retained the title due to outside interference Zelina Vega.
Andrade then attempted to lay out Mysterio on exposed concerte, but then a person wearing a Rey Mysterio mask jumped the barricade, which turned out to be Carrillo.
Both men brawl before Andrade retreats.
