“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video kicks off the show highlighting what we will see on tonight’s episode. There will be a Fatal 4-Way match to determine the #1 Contender for the NXT North American Championship. Tonight will also see the start of the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The trophy is shown.

NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring to a big ovation. A “You deserve it” chant starts up. Ripley says memories like being in the ring and becoming the new NXT Women’s Champion and celebrating on their shoulders that she’ll never forget.

All of a sudden, Toni Storm’s music hits. Storm is on NXT UK and was a frequent foe of Ripley’s on the show. Storm defeated Ripley for the NXT UK Women’s Championship last year. Storm gets in the ring and congratulates Ripley. Ripley deserves this… but does she remember when she beat her? Remember when Storm beat her twice? This is what’s going to happen. This Sunday, she’ll become NXT UK Women’s Champion again. At World’s Collide, she’ll go ahead and become a double champion… only if Ripley has the guts to accept. A “Toni Two Belts” chant picks up. Ripley says she wouldn’t mind beating Storm, so she accepts.

NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray makes her way to the stage. Ray says no one believes that because they is absolutely no way Storm will take the title from her, let alone make it to World’s Collide.

Io Shirai now makes her way to the ring. Shirai rips the microphone out of Ray’s hand on the way down. An “Io” chant picks up. She speaks Japanese before pointing at the NXT Women’s Title and shouting, “Mine!”

Bianca Belair now makes her way to the ring. An “EST” chant picks up. She’s got 20/20 vision and is better than everyone in the ring, especially Ripley.

Candice LeRae now comes out, and Ripley shouts for this whole thing to stop. Ripley is guessing that LeRae wants to fight. She nods. Ripley says she wants to fight as well. Ripley then punches Belair. A brawl breaks out between the six women. Storm and LeRae tease dives, but Shirai, Ray, and Belair run off.

The ring announcer states that NXT General Manager William Regal has made this a 6-woman tag team match starting now.

Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm, and Candice LeRae vs. Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai, and Bianca Belair

The bell rings, and LeRae wipes out Ray, Shirai, and Belair with a suicide dive as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see LeRae tag in off Storm and give Belair a missile dropkick. Ray tags in. LeRae takes her down and goes to the second rope, but Shirai distracts her. LeRae comes off the ropes, but Ray superkicks her out of mid-air for a near fall. Shirai tags in and hits a flapjack. Shirai then hits the ropes and accidentally knocks Belair off the apron before hitting LeRae with a basement dropkick for a two count. Belair takes exception with her partner knocking her off the apron. Shirai applies a chin lock and takes LeRae down when she fights up. Ray tags in and hits a snapmare before kicking LeRae in the back. Ray applies a grounded abdominal stretch. LeRae fights up, but Ray pulls her down by the hair. Ray chokes LeRae with her boot. Belair tags in and kicks LeRae. LeRae punches Belair back, but Belair clubs her down. Belair applies a chin lock, but LeRae fights up. Belair takes her down and tags Ray in. Ray goes for an exploder, but LeRae counters with a small package for a two count. Ray quickly takes LeRae down and applies a chin lock. Ray knocks her to the corner and chops the chest. Belair tags in and hits a suplex for a two count. LeRae knocks Belair back and goes for a tag, but Belair cuts her off. Ray tags in and hits a Swanton Bomb, but Storm breaks up the pin. Belair hits a spear. Ripley dropkicks Belair, and Shirai uppercuts Ripley down. LeRae then gives Shirai an enzuigiri.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Ray pick LeRae up for an electric chair, but LeRae counters into a poisonrana! Belair quickly tags in and stops the tag. LeRae sidesteps Belair, who knocks into Shirai.LeRae makes the tag to Storm. Ray is tagged in. Storm avoids an enzuigiri from Ray and hits a German Suplex followed by a running forearm for a two count. Ray quickly superkicks Storm and tags Shirai in. Shirai hits running double knees to Storm before hitting a butterfly backbreaker. Shirai goes to the top, but Belair tags herself in. Shirai is furious. Belair lifts Storm up, but Shirai wipes her out with a springboard dropkick. Shirai screams at Belair and walks off.

Ripley tags in and big boots a distracted Belair down. Ripley knees her in the face and hits a snapmare followed by a basement dropkick. Ripley connects with the Riptide for the win.

Winners by Pinfall: Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm, and Candice LeRae

LeRae is holding the NXT Women’s Championship and looks at it before giving it to Ripley. Ripley, LeRae, and Storm raise their arms in the ring.

The commentators urge people to donate to the Australian Red Cross to aid in the devastating wildfires happening there.

NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed ERA take on NXT UK Tag Team Champions Gallus in the first round of the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Imperium will also battle The Forgotten Sons in a tournament match.

Video Package: Tommaso Ciampa needs to fill the emptiness inside by getting his life back (the NXT Championship) from Adam Cole.

-Commercial Break-

Keith Lee is backstage. He’s pinned a lot of champions, but hasn’t received an opportunity. This year, he will be NXT North American Champion.

The Dusty Cup is shown in the arena.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 1st Round Match
The Forgotten Sons w/ Jaxson Ryker vs. Imperium

A pretaped promo is shown with Imperium. Marcel Barthel says Imperium will win the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Fabian Aichner says they will hold all the power.

Fabian Aichner starts again Wesley Blake. Aichner broke his nose recently and has a face mask on. Marcel Bartel tags in, as does Cutler. Cutler hits a Busaiku Knee Kick for a two count. Aichner soon hits a big back suplex. Barthel tags in and picks up a two count. Cutler kicks Aichner back and goes for a cross-body, but Aichner catches him. Blake tags in, but Aichner hits a rolling fireman’s carry. Aichner tags in. Blake gets the boots up on Aichner trying a moonsault. Barthel tags in, and Imperium hits a throw into a brainbuster for a near fall. Cutler pulls Aichner out of the ring and bounces him off the barricade. The Forgotten Sons hit a kick/fisherman’s suplex combo. Aichner hits Blake with a cross-body block to fall onto Barthel and Cutler to break up the pin.

Blake hits Barthel with a big chop. Aichner quickly tags in and takes him down. Blake hits a hurricanrana to get out of a powerbomb. Blake dropkicks Barthel out of midair. Blake does a moonsault into a reverse DDT attempt. Barthel sends Cutler off the top rope into Ryker. Imperium hits Blake with the European Bomb for the win! Imperium advances in the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Winners by Pinfall: Imperium

Matt Riddle is asked about teaming with Pete Dunne. Riddle doesn’t know Dunne well, but in the spirit of the Dusty Classic he’ll team with him. They’re the Broserweights.

NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II is coming this Sunday.

Austin Theory vs. Joaquin Wilde

The bell rings, and they circle the ring before locking up. Wilde applies a hammerlock and takes Theory down. Theory kicks him away, but Wilde grabs the leg. Theory kicks him off, but Wilde quickly elbows and uppercuts him. Theory reverses a whip, but Wilde jumps over him and takes him down with a head-scissor takeover. Wilde goes for a monkey flip, but Theory hot shots him on the top rope. Theory hits a running shoulder followed by a slingshot stomp. Theory then connects with a fisherman’s suplex for a one count. Theory kicks Wilde in the chest before applying a chin lock. Wilde fights up, but Theory knees him back. Wilde quickly forearms him and hits a pair of clotheslines. Theory reverses a whip to the corner, but Wilde avoids a splash. Wilde hits a pendulum kick before coming off the top rope for a flying hurricanrana. Theory quickly rolls into the ring and hits a dropkick. Theory hits a TKO for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Austin Theory

The Undisputed ERA are shown warming up backstage. They’ll face Gallus in a 1st Round Match of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, next.

Damian Priest is backstage. Priest says winning the first main event of the year would be great, but becoming the NXT North American Champion would make him live forever.

The bell rings, and the two team show their championship gold. Wolfgang clotheslines Fish and O’Reilly. Wolfgang throws O’Reilly across the ring and punches away at him. O’Reilly fights back and hits the ropes, but Wolfgang clotheslines him down. Mark Coffey tags in, but O’Reilly fights back. O’Reilly kicks Coffey in the knee and tags in Bobby Fish. Fish kicks Coffey in the leg. Coffey pushes Fish to the corner and throws him across the ring. Fish kicks Coffey back, but Coffey comes back with a modified back body drop. Wolfgang tags in, and Gallus hits a double wrist-clutch toss. Wolfgang uppercuts Fish and catches him trying a slingshot. NXT Champion Adam Cole distracts Wolfgang. Fish attacks Wolfgang and tags O’Reilly in. O’Reilly kicks away at Wolfgang. Wolfgang fights back and hits a scoop slam. Coffey tags in and punches O’Reilly. Coffey viciously whips O’Reilly into the corner and taunts Fish. Coffey then sends O’Reilly sternum-first into the turnbuckle. O’Reilly fights back, but Coffey takes him down. Wolfgang tags in and hits a leaping senton splash before giving O’Reilly a hip toss. Fish is knocked out of the ring, and O’Reilly is clotheslined on the apron. Gallus stands tall in the ring.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see O’Reilly applying an arm bar to Wolfgang. Fish tags in, and the UE try to attack. Wolfgang fights them off, but UE quickly hits stereo kicks to take him down. Fish covers for a near fall. Fish continues to work on the arm and applies a chin lock. Wolfgang fights up with Fish on his back and flips him off. O’Reilly quickly tags in, and Wolfgang stuns him with a quick back suplex. Fish comes in, but Wolfgang kicks him away. O’Reilly stops Wolfgang from making the tag. Fish pulls Coffey off the apron. O’Reilly goes to punch Coffey, but Wolfgang hits him with a back body drop.

Coffey tags in and takes O’Reilly down before hitting some uppercuts and a double axe handle. Fish runs in, but Coffey gives him a back body drop. Adam Cole gets on the apron, but Coffey punches him off. Coffey then hits a one-armed slam on O’Reilly for a near fall. O’Reilly flips through a suplex. Fish tags in, and they hit Coffey with stereo kicks for a near fall. O’Reilly tags in and hits a running forearm. Fish hits a running kick, as does O’Reilly. Coffey avoids Fish and sidesteps O’Reilly so he hits Fish. Wolfgang tags in and catapults O’Reilly into Coffey, who gives him a Samoan Drop. Wolfgang covers, but Fish breaks up the pin.

Both teams stand across from each other and throw punches. Wolfgang is left standing after strikes break out. Wolfgang then throws Coffey over the top rope onto the UE. Adam Cole hits Wolfgang with an enzuigiri while Fish distracts the referee. Fish and O’Reilly hit the High/Low for the win!

Winners by Pinfall: The Undisputed ERA

The Undisputed ERA advances to the semifinals of the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Footage is shown of Finn Balor giving Johnny Gargano the 1916 on the ramp three months ago. Gargano returned last month to attack Balor. We’ll hear from Gargano, next.

Video Package: Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews

Johnny Gargano comes out and says he’s been waiting a long time to talk about the Prince. Gargano says he’ll never take away what Finn Balor did for building this brand. However, Balor caused Johnny TakeOver to miss a TakeOver. It happened, but he didn’t finish the job. Balor talks about how his past is his future. How about Balor retraces his steps back to Gargano? Gargano remembers when Balor got the phone call to come up. Balor couldn’t wait to put the flag down and get the hell out of here. Gargano got the call in August, but he chose to stay because when he says he loves this place he actually means it. A “Johnny Wrestling” chant picks up.

When Balor went to become the extraordinary man that does extraordinary things, Johnny Wrestling took over. They took this place to new heights without Balor. Balor was left behind, and that eats him alive. They didn’t need Balor to succeed.

Finn Balor’s music hits. Balor says they should call him “Johnny Promo” because that’s all the doctors will clear him for. Gargano cost him the NXT Title. Gargano smiles, and Balor says he should wipe the smile off his feet. Balor said a fact because Gargano is soft. Gargano can quit crying about missing TakeOver. Balor will give him his shot at TakeOver: Portland… if he makes it that far. Balor poses.

Cameron Grimes is shown getting ready backstage.

The commentators ask for people to donate to the Australian Red Cross.

Video Package: The Grizzled Young Veterans

KUSHIDA will team with Alex Shelley in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The Time Splitters reunite. They’ll take on The Grizzled Young Veterans next week. Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle will also take on Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster.

Mia Yim vs. Kayden Carter

Carter quickly pushes Yim off. Yim avoids a dropkick, and Carter avoids a spin kick. They shake hands before Yim avoids a roll-up. Carter goes for a crucifix, but Yim gets out. Yim shoulder blocks her down and hits the ropes. Carter hits the ropes, but Yim shoulders her. Carter grabs the arm and jumps on the ropes for an arm drag. Carter takes her down for a two count. Yim misses a clothesline, but counters a hurricanrana. Yim hits a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Yim dropkicks her down for another two count. Yim applies a bow and arrow stretch. Carter rolls through for a two count. Yim quickly hits a back suplex for a two count. Yim punches the mat in frustration. Yim chops the chest in the corner and sends her across the ring. Carter avoids a boot and punches her back. Carter sweeps the feet and hits a running big boot against the ropes. Carter rolls her up before getting up for a superkick and a two count. Carter comes off the second rope, but Yim hits her with Protect Ya Neck for the win.

Mia Yim helps Kayden Carter up and hugs her. Chelsea Green all of a sudden attacks them both from behind and stands tall. Robert Stone comes out and says 2020 is the year his brand takes over NXT starting with the hottest… and he means hottest free agent signing, Chelsea Green.

Dominik Dijakovic says he promised his family the North American Championship nine months ago. This match is a formality tonight. The world will feast its eyes on the next North American Champion.

Video Package: Tommaso Ciampa challenges Adam Cole for the NXT Championship, the title Cole was handed because Ciampa was injured. Ciampa doesn’t know who he is or who he will become without the title.

Damian Priest makes his way to the ring. The #1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match for the NXT North American Championship is next.

-Commercial Break-

Next week we’ll see a #1 Contender’s Battle Royal for the NXT Women’s Championship. Mia Yim, Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae, Chelsea Green, Dakota Kai, Kayden Carter, Xia Li, Io Shirai, Santana Garrett, Shotzi Blackheart, and Vanessa Borne will participate.

Damian Priest vs. Dominik Dijakovic vs. Cameron Grimes vs. Keith Lee

The winner will face Roderick Strong for the NXT North American Championship.

The crowd sings at Keith Lee, and he poses for them. Keith Lee grabs Cameron Grimes and throws him into the corner. Dominik Dijakovic then throws Damian Priest. Priest and Grimes attack each other. Lee and Dijakovic lift Grimes and Priest, but they get away. Lee sends Dijakovic into the ropes, and they criss-cross the ropes before Lee leapfrogs him. Dijakovic elbows him back, but Lee jumps over the leg sweep. Grimes and Priest break it up and attack. Priest stomps Lee down in the corner while Grimes viciously attacks Dijakovic. Priest punches Grimes down and stomps him. Priest sends Dijakovic into the corner and hits a running elbow. Dijakovic quickly knees Priest and flips him. Lee catches Priest, uses him to hit Grimes and Dijakovic before powerbombing Priest onto Dijakovic! The crowd is going wild. Lee picks up a two count.

Lee goes outside the ring, and Grimes attacks him. Dijakovic joins in to beat Lee down. Dijakovic punches and elbows Lee. Grimes and Dijakovic punch Lee to the barricade, but Lee starts to fight back. Lee throws Grimes and elbows Dijakovic. Priest feigns a dive on Lee. Lee smiles. Grimes blindsides Lee. Priest then hits a step-up plancha on all three opponents. A loud “NXT” chant fires up.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Lee attack Priest. Lee then hits a deadlift superplex on Priest, who was standing on the apron! Dijakovic then flattens Lee with a moonsault press for a near fall!

Grimes viciously gets in the ring and kicks Dijakovic down before hitting a German Suplex for a near fall. Dijakovic rolls to the apron to recover. Grimes goes to the top rope, but Priest forearms him. Priest hits a roundhouse kick to Grimes before hitting a super hurricanrana. Lee somehow catches Grimes. Dijakovic attacks Priest and steals Grimes. Dijakovic hits Feast Your Eyes on Grimes. Lee then kills Dijakovic with a Pounce over the top rope! Priest hits The Reckoning on Lee, but Dijakovic breaks up the pin with a big boot!

The crowd is loudly chanting, “NXT.” Dijakovic gets in the ring with Priest. Priest avoids some big boots and kicks away at him. Dijakovic responds with a superkick and a facebuster. They then take each other down with big boots. Priest and Dijakovic grab each other’s throat, but Lee rises up. Lee grabs them and hits a double chokeslam on Priest and Dijakovic! Lee hits the ropes, but Grimes catches Lee with the Collision Course for a near fall! Grimes sizes Lee up. Grimes kicks Priest. Dijakovic knocks Priest to the floor with a big boot. Grimes hits a moonsault to the floor on Priest before hitting Dijakovic with a Cave In on the apron!

Grimes goes to the top rope as Lee struggles to his feet. Lee hits a double chop to take Grimes out of mid-air. Grimes kicks away at Lee before hitting the ropes. Lee catches him with the Spirit Bomb for the win!

Winner by Pinfall: Keith Lee

Keith Lee will face Roderick Strong for the NXT North American Championship in two weeks. Lee celebrates in the ring, and the crowd gives him a huge hand.
