Report: Chris DeJoseph leaves MLW, rehired by WWE to be part of the creative team

Chris DeJoseph returning to WWE

Chris DeJoseph is on his way back to WWE.

Confirmed by multiple sources, DeJoseph, who was hired by Major League Wrestling a month ago to be the Co-Executive Producer, left the company amicably. The talks with WWE reportedly were reportedly happening before DeJoseph was hired by MLW.

DeJoseph previously worked for WWE from 2004 to 2010 as a member of the creative team. He is probably best known as the recurring character “Big Dick Johnson” that would show up on Raw and SmackDown dancing crudely while rubbing baby oil on himself.

It is expected that DeJoseph will be returning to the creative team, possibly as soon as this month. It is not known if he will be part of the Raw or SmackDown team.

DeJoseph was one of the founders of Lucha Underground and has produced reality shows such as Big Brother. He was also involved in the production of John Cena’s “American Grit” show on FOX in 2017.
