Announced on WWE Backstage last night, WWE has locked up The Miz and Paige to contract extensions.
The terms of both deals were undisclosed, but they were announced to be multi-year extensions. PWInsider is reporting that Miz’ deal locks him up in WWE through 2026, while Paige’s locks her in until 2023.
The Miz has called WWE his home for the past 15 years. During his career, he has won the WWE Championship, including winning the main event of WrestleMania 27 against John Cena, a 2-time United States Champion, an 8-time Intercontinental Champion, a 7-time Tag Team Champion, winner of season one of the Mixed Match Challenge along with Asuka, and a Money in the Bank winner.
Paige signed with WWE in 2011 and made her main roster debut the night after WrestleMania XXX in April 2014. Paige won the Divas Championship in her first night, winning the title from AJ Lee. Before suffering a neck injury that ultimately ended her in-ring career, she was a 2-time Divas Champion and the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion.

Johnny Gargano injury update
Also addressed on WWE Backstage, it was announced that Johnny Gargano has been ruled out for Survivor Series.
It was stated that Gargano is suffering from a neck injury and is not cleared to compete.
Gargano was last seen on the October 23 edition of WWE NXT. Finn Balor turned on Gargano at that event and viciously attacked him, culminating with a 1916 DDT on the ramp. It was stated on the show that a Gargano vs. Balor match likely would have happened on the upcoming NXT TakeOver: WarGames III event.
There was no timetable given for Gargano’s return.
On behalf of the staff of Wrestleview, we’d like to wish Johnny Gargano a speedy recovery.
