According to a new report from PWInsider, Christopher Guy (aka Ace Steel), was hired last month by WWE as a coach for the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
It is being said that WWE had been interested in hiring Guy for some time after he made an impression as a guest trainer earlier this year.
WWE had brought Guy into Vancouver, BC earlier this year to help produce and put together in-ring scenes for the Netflix family comedy The Main Event.
Guy, 46, who trained CM Punk and Colt Cabana, worked for WWE from 2004 to 2007.
He first appeared on the September 27, 2004 episode of Monday Night Raw using the name of Scott Colton as an inside joke.
During the January 8, 2007 episode of Raw that he portrayed Donald Trump in an intergender match against Kiley McLean who portrayed Rosie O’Donnell.
WWE signed him ten days later to a development contract. He then debuted in Deep South Wrestling in February 2007. Following the closing of Deep South in April of that year, he moved to Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Guy appeared on the October 5, 2007 episode of SmackDown in a losing effort to Chuck Palumbo.
He was one of five talents released from WWE developmental on February 4, 2008.
In addition to his time in WWE, Guy has also wrestled for Pro Wrestling NOAH, TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, World League of Wrestling and Ring of Honor.
He made his professional wrestling debut with Windy City Pro Wrestling in 1991 under the name of Ace Steel.
