Eric Bischoff has issued a statement on Twitter about being replaced by Bruce Prichard as the Executive Director of SmackDown, a move announced by WWE earlier today.
Bischoff stated that Prichard is a “great producer, good friend and I am certain he is going to thrive in his position.”
Bischoff’s comment came on a retweet of a report from Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet stating that WWE has confirmed Bischoff is officially finished with the company. Bischoff was hired back in June to be the Executive Director of SmackDown, a position that was created to allow Vince McMahon to concentrate more on the bigger picture of the shows rather than individual nuances of all storylines.
Bruce is a great producer, good friend and I am certain he is going to thrive in his position. He’s going to be working with a great team of the most dedicated and hard working people I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know. https://t.co/aMKk8d3Rx7
