Hello readers! Since I did not get the show, I will provide a quick summary on the show based on information from Ring of Honor’s Website and from word of mouth.
So, no pick threes, no play-by-play, and no Slapping the Porpoise. If you live near the Pittsburgh area and if you don’t have HDNet, I want the readers to do this:
Go to HDNet’s website: www.hd.net
Go to this link: http://www.hd.net/subscribe.html and fill out all the information. Send this to your friends as well.
If all else fails, pay Sheamus $200 and tell him to drill Mark Cuban (our fellow Pittsburger) through a table until Cuban submits and gives Mr. V the HDNet channel so he can enjoy ROH on HDNet. Mr. V will personally thank anyone who does this.
Mark Cuban, I am disappointed in you.
OH YEAH! The quick results and segments.
Match #1: Colt Cabana defeated Ricky Reyes
Cabana defeated Reyes via the Colt .45 for the pinfall.
Hype regarding this past weekend’s tag match that had Steve Corino and Kevin Steen vs. Colt Cabana and El Generico.
Tyler Black was interviewed backstage and said the same thing he did with Jim Cornette to ROH Backstage interviewer Kyle Durden. Black needs to work on his mic skills.
They aired a video package of Davey Richards and Kenny King. This was the main event that I wanted to see.
Kyle Durden was backstage with Kenny King and discussed his upcoming match. Davey Richards interrupted and from what I did Richards did a nice job getting into King’s head.
Match #2: The Briscoes defeated Josh Raymond and Christian Able
The Briscoes won this match via the Doomsday Device. From what a few people told me this was surprisingly a competitive match, even though it was Raymond and Able’s first go around on HDNet.
Austin Aries cut a promo and told the audience (not me, since I was not a viewer) what motivated him. Aries blamed Cornette for losing the ROH World Title. If I know Aries’ character, it was fantastic.
Match #3:
**Ring of Honor Television Title Semifinals**
(4) Davey Richards defeated (2) Kenny King
Despite King’s athletic ability and counter attempts, Richards held on to the Cross Armbar. King tapped out after a vicious struggle and Richards won via Submission. Richards will now face American Wolves partner Eddie Edwards to determine the first ROH Television Champion.
