WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, VA is featuring an updated news story on their website about WWE star John Cena surprising a terminally ill boy for his birthday.
According to the news story, the boy who’s name is Diego Hernandez has a terminal medical condition called craniosynostosis that affects skull and brain growth.
The story also indicated a video posted by Cena’s friend, John Burk, led to an outpouring of donations, with more than $6,000 raised for Diego’s family, which led to more tweets from celebrities and people from all walks of life across the country.
Cena spent an hour talking with Diego and gave him signed WWE gifts that included action figures, hats, wrist bands, and even his very own Universal Championship belt.
