As reported earlier, Hideo Itami is believed to have had his final match with WWE after requesting his release following the 205 Live taping in Phoenix.
Itami, who changed his name back to KENTA on Twitter, posted a simple “THANK YOU” message late Tuesday night after 205 Live had concluded.
PWInsider is reporting that Itami has not officially received his release yet from WWE, but that the company will be granting it. Itami reportedly said his goodbyes to talent backstage at the TV taping last night in Phoenix at the Talking Stick Arena.
The belief is that Itami will be returning to Japan.
WWE stars have been tweeting about Itami since last night.
