Current WWE star Nikki Cross and current Smackdown star and Sanity member Killian Dain were engaged this week.
WWE also announced the news of the engagement on their website this week following Twitter posts from both Cross and Dain.
Dain first announced the recent engagement on his Twitter this past week that included a picture of their rings. Dain also noted that it “only took 10 and a half years but when it’s right, it’s right. I love you @NikkiCrossWWE”
Nikki Cross then quickly followed up with a Twitter post of her own that included a first photo of the couple from 2008.
Cross and Dain both signed with WWE in 2016. They were both members of Sanity on the NXT brand. Dain originally began in the NXT brand under the ring name of Damo. In January 2017 he began appearing under the new name of Killian Dain and later joined Sanity, replacing Sawyer Fulton.
Cross debuted on the August 17, 2016 episode of NXT as Nikki Glenncross as a babyface in a six-woman tag match teaming with Carmella and Liv Morgan, in which they were victorious over Daria Berenato and Alexa Bliss. After being off NXT television for several weeks, Cross made her return during the October 12, 2016 episode of NXT as heel and was introduced as a part of Sanity.
As part of last year’s Superstar Shake-Up, Dain, Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe without Cross were called up to the main roster and later debuted on the June 19, 2018 episode of Smackdown Live.
The McMahon Family announced on the December 17, 2018 episode of RAW that Cross would be one of the several NXT stars that would be called up to the main roster. Cross debuted on this past Monday’s episode of RAW teaming with Bayley and Natalya in a six-woman tag team match with a victory over The Riott Squad. WWE noted during the match that Cross has yet to be signed to either RAW or Smackdown.
