WWE Smackdown Live kicks off with WWE champion Daniel Bryan at the concession stand in the arena. Bryan talks about how unhealthy the people are and how they feel after eating candy and popcorn. Bryan says that by cheering AJ Styles, they fill an empty void in their lives.
Bryan walks and sees AJ Styles merchandise. He says all of this to fill the void of the empty lives of the fans. All of this to make AJ Styles feel like they care about him. Bryan makes his way through the curtains and comes in between the fans walking down the arena.
Daniel Bryan says he is out here changing the world, making the world a better place. But to create change, he needs the fans to change. Bryan goes on to insult the fans. Daniel Bryan says he is here to change the planet, one person at a time. The new Daniel Bryan is the WWE champion while AJ Styles fills a void for about 30 seconds. But he will tear apart that void and he will fill it with something meaningful, something valuable and something the fans can be proud of. Unlike AJ Styles. He will fill this world with something these people can be proud of.
Bryan jumps the security rail but in comes R-Truth who attacks Daniel Bryan from behind. R-Truth beats on Daniel Bryan and throws him into the security railing.

Non-Title Match
WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. R-Truth
Back from commercial and R-Truth with a hip toss taking the WWE champion down. A side jump kick by R-Truth as he goes for the cover but Daniel Bryan kicks out. R-Truth gets Daniel Bryan up but Bryan throws R-Truth in the corner and starts with the kicks. R-Truth with right hands but Daniel Bryan with an uppercut. He throws R-Truth in the corner again and lands a running drop kick. Bryan goes for another one but R-Truth with a flying clothesline takes Bryan down.
R-Truth with a modified jaw breaker. He goes for the cover but Daniel Bryan kicks out. With Bryan in the corner, R-Truth goes for a big splash but Bryan moves out of the way. Bryan hits R-Truth with the flying double knee. He goes for the cover and gets the 3 count.
Winner: Daniel Bryan
With Daniel Bryan walking on the ramp, out comes AJ Styles who starts to beat on him. Security comes out trying to break it up. AJ Styles grabs a steel chair but Daniel Bryan walks away as Styles throws the chair.
A fun opener to keep the fans in it. R-Truth is a fan favorite and he's been used properly the past few months. Lively opener to #SDLive.

Rey Mysterio & Mustafa Ali vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas & Samoa Joe
The bell rings and we are under way. Mustafa Ali and Samoa Joe are in the ring. A flying forearm by Ali but Joe remains standing. Ali runs towards Joe but Samoa Joe takes him down with a shoulder block. A chop to the chest by Samoa Joe onto Mustafa Ali. Joe gets Ali in the corner and goes for a splash but Ali moves out of the way and hits Joe with dropkicks. Rey Mysterio is tagged in and both men with a double drop kick takes Samoa Joe down.
Samoa Joe tags Andrade Almas into the match. Almas lifts Mysterio up but Mysterio reverses it taking Almas down. Almas gets Mysterio up in the air but Mysterio reverses that into a modified hurricanrana. Mysterio runs to the ropes but Almas hits him with a spinning elbow. He goes for the cover but Mysterio kicks out. Almas grabs Mysterio by the arm and tags Joe in.
Joe gets Mysterio in the corner and starts punching and beating on him. Joe tags Almas back in. Mysterio runs to the ropes as Almas catches him but Mysterio drops Almas down. Mysterio tags Ali in. Ali with a chop onto Almas. Almas with a face buster on Almas as he goes for the cover but Almas kicks out. Almas runs to the ropes as Joe tags himself in. Ali with a drop kick as Ali lands on Joe and Joe falls to the outside. Ali jumps over the top rope but Joe catches him and throws him on top of the announce table.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Ali and Almas are down in the ring. Ali gets the tag and Mysterio flies off the top rope and lands a hurricanrana on Almas. In comes Samoa Joe but Mysterio with a kick to the face. A sitting senton by Mysterio takes Joe down and to the outside. Mysterio with an acrobatic piledriver takes Almas down. He goes for the cover but Joe breaks it up. Mysterio hits Joe and he goes on the second rope. Mysterio hits him with the 619. In comes Ali who hits him with the 450 splash. Almas is on the second rope, Ali flies over the top rope and lands on Joe. Mysterio goes for the 619 on Almas but Almas reverses it and lands the hammerlock DDT. He goes for the cover and gets the 3 count.
Winners: Andrade “Cien” Almas and Samoa Joe
Carmella cuts a promo talking about her match later tonight against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
The Usos are backstage and talk about their match against The Bar tonight.
Mysterio and Almas, I want more of that. Very entertaining match. Almas will be a stud by the end of the year, just needs to keep it up. Mysterio always great, Ali coming into his own while Samoa Joe is just there. #sdlive

Shane McMahon is backstage and in comes The Miz who asks Shane if he had anything to do with The Usos match against The Bar tonight. Shane says they are far from the tag team picture, The Miz says it doesn’t matter, he’s a McMahon. He can just give us a title match. Shane says he is getting excited about teaming up with The Miz but he won’t use his power to just give them a title shot. They have to challenge themselves and the competition. The Miz says they are on the same page and asks Shane if they thought about their outfits. Shane says no, The Miz says he was thinking about going with the white leather. Shane says oh, grabs his phone and leaves.
WWE United States champion Rusev is in the ring. Rusev says last week Lana was hurt because of the selfish actions of one man, Shinsuke Nakamura. And while Lana is at home resting, Rusev stands in the ring but not as a United States champion. Rusev stands not as the Bulgarian brute but as a husband. A loud “Lana is the best, Lana number 1” chant from the crowd.
He tells Shinsuke that he can mess with him all he wants but once he messes with his wife, he crosses a line. He calls out Nakamura and says he will break every bone in his body. Nakamura is shown on the giant screen.
Shinsuke Nakamura tells Rusev that he wants people to believe that it’s his fault that Lana got hurt. But he is in the television truck to prove to everyone that it’s not his fault. This is Rusev’s fault. Footage airs of last week’s attack. We see Lana jumping on Nakamura, Rusev kicking Nakamura who fell on Lana.
Nakamura tells Rusev that he crushed Lana as the camera cuts away. Rusev is in the ring and tells Nakamura that if he doesn’t come to him, Rusev will go to him. Rusev drops the microphone and runs backstage. We see Rusev asking where the television truck is and in comes Nakamura who pushes a big equipment box onto Rusev. The referees break it up.
Nakamura more interesting without the title but they should keep the belt on Rusev for a few months. #SDLive

The Bar vs. The Usos
The bell rings and we are underway. Sheamus and Jey are in the ring. A right hand by Sheamus takes Jey down. Sheamus sends Jey to the ropes but a kick to the face onto Sheamus followed by a clothesline over the top rope taking Sheamus down. Sheamus gets back in the ring and a drop kick by Jey. He goes for the cover but Sheamus kicks out. Sheamus tags Cesaro in as Jimmy is tagged in.
A head lock by Cesaro as Jimmy sends Cesaro to the ropes and a shoulder block by Cesaro takes Jimmy down. Both men back up and a hurricanrana by Jimmy onto Cesaro. Jimmy runs towards Cesaro but Sheamus pulls Cesaro to the outside. Jimmy goes to the outside as Cesaro gets in the ring. Jimmy follows him in and a right hand by Jimmy. He pushes Cesaro in the corner and tags Jey in. A forearm smasdh to the face by Jey onto Cesaro but Cesaro with a kick to the stomach takes Jey down. Cesaro tags Sheamus in.
Sheamus with forearm uppercuts onto Jey. A right hand by Jey but a headlock by Sheamus as he sends Jey to the ropes but Jey hits Sheamus taking him down. He goes for the cover but Sheamus kicks out. With the referee distracted, Cesaro takes Jey down.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Sheamus takes Jey down with a runaway senton and he tags Cesaro in. Cesaro with a flying elbow. He goes for the cover but Jey kicks out. He tags Sheamus back in and both men double team Jey. Sheamus with a lock on Jey but Jey reverses it taking Sheamus down. Sheamus gets on the ring apron and a boot to the face by Jey onto Sheamus taking him down. Jey goes for the tag but Sheamus grabs Jey’s leg. Jey pushes Sheamus away and taggs Jimmy in as Cesaro is tagged in. Jimmy with an inzighuri on Cesaro followed by a Samoan drop.
Jimmy goes for the cover but Cesaro kicks out. Cesaro rolls to the outside. In comes Sheamus as he is super kicked and thrown to the outside. Both Usos fly to the outside taking out Sheamus and Cesaro. Jimmy throws Cesaro into the ring and climbs the top rope. He lands a cross body and goes for the cover but Cesaro kicks out. Both men get back up and an uppercut by Cesaro. He tags Sheamus in, Jey is tagged in. A big kick by The Usos followed by a superkick by Jey. He goes for the cover but Sheamus kicks out.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial and Cesaro starts spinning Jey Uso. Cesaro locks in the sharpshooter but Jey reaches the ropes. With the referee distracted, Sheamus kicks Jey in the face. Cesaro goes for the cover but Jey kicks out. Cesaro tags Sheamus in. Sheamus picks Jey up but Key kicks him away and knocks Cesaro out. Jey with a head butt to Sheamus as both men go down. Jey climbs the ropes but Sheamus with a knee to the face. Sheamus lifts Jey up on his shoulders and climbs the ropes. Jey gets out of it and hits Sheamus with a super kick as he goes down, he tags Cesaro in. Cesaro climbs the top rope and jumps off but Jey hits him with a super kick.
Mandy Rose’s music hits as she walks out wearing a towel. She asks Jimmy if he can help her. And now that she has her attention, she asks if she left her tiny gold shorts and top in his hotel room. With Jimmy distracted, Sheamus knocks him down. Cesaro hits Jey with the neutralizer. He goes for the cover and gets the 3 count.
Winners: The Bar
The Miz’s music hits and he comes down. The Miz says to please give it up for the Smackdown Tag Team champions, Sheamus and Cesaro. The Bar. The Miz gets in the ring as he says he would like to congratulate them for the win and for dominating all of the tag teams on Smackdown Live. All but one. The Miz says he is here to grant them an opportunity of a life time. For them to defend their tag team titles against the one team they have yet to dominate. The best tag team in the world.
Cesaro grabs the microphone. He says The Miz is asking for them to defend their titles against himself and Shane. Sheamus hits The Miz with the bro kick. Cesaro says they accept.
Mandy Rose is walking backstage with Sonya Deville and in comes Naomi who attacks them both. Jimmy comes in and breaks it up.
That was one long match involving The Bar and The Usos. Send The Usos to Raw and have them be champs there. That tag team division is a hot pile of, well, you know.

The Miz is backstage with Shane McMahon. The Miz says he is ready to win and he believed in the team. If they are not testing themselves by going after The Bar, what are they doing. The Miz says it means a lot to him and they wouldn’t be The Miz or Shane if they just let everyone pass by them. Shane asks The Miz if he thinks they can win, The Miz says he knows they can win.

Winner Faces Asuka at Royal Rumble
Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch vs. Carmella
The bell rings and we are under way. Becky kicks Charlotte down and kicks her to the outside while taking Carmella out to the outside.
-Commercial Break-
We are back from commercial and Charlotte climbs the top rope but Lynch throwes her off onto Carmella. Becky goes for the cover on Carmella but Charlotte breaks it up. Carmella rolls to the outside of the ring.
Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are in the ring and exchange right hands. Charlotte Flair with chops onto Becky Lynch. In comes Carmella but who takes both women down. Carmella with the code of silence onto Charlotte Flair. However, Charlotte stands up but Carmella reverse sit into a cover. Charlotte gets out of it. Becky on the top rope and a drop kick onto Carmella. Charlotte with a throw away slam on Becky Lynch. Charlotte with a big boot onto Carmella.
With both Becky and Carmella down, Charlotte climbs the top rope. Becky gets up but Charlotte kicks her down. Charlotte with a moonsault on both women. She goes for the cover on Becky but Becky kicks out. Charlotte goes for the cover on Carmella but Carmella kicks out.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Becky goes for the suplex off the top rope on Charlotte but Carmella pushes Becky away. With Charlotte still on the top rope, Carmella wraps her legs around Charlotte but Charlotte lifts her up. Carmella lands the hurricanrana. She goes for the cover but Charlotte Flair kicks out. Carmella kicks Charlotte to the outside. With Becky on the ring apron, Carmella kicks her down. Carmella with a suicide dive through the ropes onto Becky Lynch.
Charlotte Flair climbs the top rope and goes for the moonsault but both Carmella and Becky move out of the way. Becky with the becksploder onto Carmella. Becky with a right hand on Carmella as she throws her into the security rail. She grabs Carmella and throws her into the ring. Becky climbs the ring apron but Charlotte with a big boot. Carmella goes for the roll up but Charlotte gets out of it. In comes Becky who goes for the diss-arm-her on Carmella but Charlotte hits the natural selection onto Becky. Carmella hits Charlotte with the super kick and goes for the cover on Becky but Charlotte breaks it up.
Becky rolls to the outside of the ring as Charlotte goes for the figure four and locks in the figure eight. Becky with a leg drop off the top rope onto Charlotte Flair. She goes for the cover but Charlotte kicks out. Becky Lynch locks in the diss-arm-her on Charlotte but Carmella breaks it up. Carmella throws Charlotte to the outside of the ring. Carmella grabs Becky but in comes Charlotte who hits Becky with the spear. Carmella with a super kick onto Carmella. Becky grabs Carmella and locks in the diss-arm-her as Carmella taps out.
Winner: Becky Lynch
After the match, out came WWE Smackdown women’s champion Asuka. She got in the ring and posed with her title.
A solid main event. Becky Lynch wins and I think we have her become champion at the Royal Rumble while Charlotte Flair wins the women's Royal Rumble match. #SDLive
