WWE has confirmed two names will no longer be part of the second season of Mixed Match Challenge going forward, which airs every Tuesday on Facebook Watch.
Braun Strowman and AJ Styles have both been pulled from the tournament, as announced by WWE on last night’s latest episode. Strowman is currently battling an elbow injury (bone spurs) that will require surgery, while Styles was pulled without explanation.
Jeff Hardy will now tag with Charlotte Flair to replace Styles, while WWE has yet to announce Strowman’s replacement to join Ember Moon next week.
Strowman and Styles join other names that were previously announced and later pulled from the tournament due to injury. This includes Alexa Bliss (who remains out of action), Sasha Banks (who reportedly battled concussion issues) and Kevin Owens (out of action after undergoing double knee surgery recently).
