A funny promo from WWE.com Exclusive was posted showing a video of James Ellsworth explaining why he wasn’t on Smackdown’s 1000th episode and why he should have been. He said that he showed up, ready to go. Brought his gear, but Paige told him “What are you doing here James? I fired you!” He said he should not only have been on Smackdown 1000, but should be on Smackdown 1001, 1002 and so on.
James Ellsworth was initially released by WWE on November 17th, 2017. He did come back in mid 2018, but not under contract, where he worked again with Carmella and left.
James showed up at Impact’s Bound for Glory PPV just three days ago. James answered Eli Drake’s open challenge and lost the match. No word yet on whether James has signed with the WWE or if this was just a one time deal.
