In the video seen above, WWE released an injury angle filmed following last night’s episode of NXT on WWE Network of GM William Regal finding Aleister Black unconscious.
This angle was done as a way to explain Black being off the upcoming NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 event on August 18 during SummerSlam weekend.
It had been reported earlier this week that Black sustained an injury that would require surgery and recently, it has been said that its likely that Black would miss TakeOver.
Black was scheduled to challenge Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship in a Triple Threat Match also involving Johnny Gargano at TakeOver, but the match, while not confirmed by WWE, looks to now be Ciampa vs. Gargano due to Black’s injury.
