WWE has revealed three more names for the upcoming Mae Young Classic tournament, including a talent that took part in a championship match at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary PPV two weeks ago in Toronto.
Ashley Rayne (aka Madison Rayne), Priscilla Kelly and Xia Brookside are now official for the tournament that takes place next week (August 8-9) at Full Sail University.
Rayne just challenged Su Yung for the Impact Knockouts Championship at the Slammiversary PPV two weeks ago and had a previous history for the company during the TNA days, teaming up with The Beautiful People group (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky). It would appear Rayne did not have a contract in place with Impact and Anthem.
Kelly, 21, made her pro wrestling debut three years ago and has built up a name on the independent scene with her “Hell’s Favorite Harlot” gimmick.
Brookside, 19, is the youngest talent to be involved with the tournament. She’s also the daughter of Performance Center coach Robbie Brookside.
Some of the recent names announced for the tournament includes Lucha Libre star Zeuxis, NXT UK’s Isla Dawn, newly signed NXT star Lacey Lane, Karen Q, Mercedes Martinez, Mia Yim, Killer Kelly, Crystal, Tegan Nox, Deonna Purrazzo, Jessica Elaban and Reina Gonzalez. WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn, Io Shirai, former “American Ninja Warrior” competitor Kacy Catanzaro were announced over the last few weeks as well.
