Former TNA and current ROH/New Japan Pro Wrestling star Alex Shelley looks to have confirmed his retirement from pro wrestling.
Shelley appeared to confirm his retirement in a recent tweet on Sunday.

Will Ospreay took to Twitter and also discussed Shelley’s retirement.
“Something not a lot of people know but I started teaming with @thekipsabian years ago and we called ourselves ‘Mile High’ – we legit based ourselves off the Motor City Machine Guns. He was Sabin and I was Shelley. Just heard today that Alex Shelley has retired. Very gutted to hear this as I really wanted that match with him and Chris (Sabin) one day but completely understandable. If this ever finds him, I wish him well and good health. Thank you for the inspiration.”

Shelley is best known for his run with TNA Wrestling that started back in 2004. He teamed with Kevin Nash during Impact’s television run on Spike TV to form Paparazzi Productions Video in skits that would air during the weekly show. Shelley would later capture the TNA X Division Championship in 2009 and the TNA World Tag Team Championships with Chris Sabin in 2010 as the Motor City Machine Guns.
Shelley left TNA in 2012 and made the transition to working for New Japan Pro Wrestling, capturing the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships with KUSHIDA in 2012 and 2014. He would also begin working on a regular basis for Ring of Honor in 2014 and would have a run with the ROH Tag Team Championships with Chris Sabin in 2017. Shelley had continued to work for ROH on a regular basis through 2018.
