Former WCW star and owner of the Micro Championship Wrestling midget promotion Johnny Attitude (John Greene) passed away on June 12 at the age of 53.
Greene is most known during his time in WCW for a memorable squash match against then-WCW US Champion Goldberg on the June 1, 1998 episode of WCW Nitro. Greene mostly wrestled as enhancement talent for WCW during his time with the company.
Greene then founded Micro Championship Wrestling, which aired as a weekly series on TruTV several years ago and featured Greene’s longtime friend, Hulk Hogan, as a co-owner of the promotion with Greene on the show.
Hogan commented on Twitter about Greene’s passing.
Remembering Johnny Green. We had a blast filming Micro Championship Wrestling. I’ve know Jonny since 83, he always had my back and a real friend. We would always have a laugh because he was always the peacemaker between me and Macho. Love U Johnny until we meet again RIP. HH

On behalf of the entire Wrestleview.com staff, we would like to send our condolences to Greene’s family and friends during this tough time.
