WWE.com posted the following on Friday, revealing that Randy Orton underwent knee surgery earlier this week to repair a torn meniscus that Orton has been dealing with for quite some time.

Randy Orton has undergone successful surgery to repair a medial meniscus tear in his left knee, WWE.com can confirm.
“I’ve known I needed the surgery since late last year, but I’ve been waiting for the right time to get my knee cleaned out,” Orton told WWE.com. “Right now was the right time.”
The Viper is currently recovering at home with his family, but says he is “staying motivated to come back and dominate the blue brand.”

Orton last wrestled for WWE at the Backlash PPV a couple weeks back, losing to WWE US Champion Jeff Hardy.

The official Twitter account for WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair issued a statement on Friday, announcing that Flair will be missing his scheduled appearances this weekend due to illness.
