Update on Dolph Ziggler’s contract with WWE
Despite reports about Dolph Ziggler agreeing to terms on a new contract with WWE, PWInsider.com is now reporting that Ziggler remains under his original deal that is scheduled to expire later this summer.
Ziggler told Chris Van Vliet in an interview over WrestleMania weekend that he had a “short amount of time left” on his current deal and that he remains in negotiations with WWE.
Ziggler was recently pushed over to the RAW brand during the Superstar Shake-up.
WWE gets restraining order against “obsessed fan”
TMZ Sports is reporting that WWE has obtained a restraining order against an “obsessed fan” by the name of Armando Alejandro Montalvo this week.
The fan, who was shot outside the WWE Performance Center back in September of 2015 and later taken into police custody, allegedly “smeared his own feces all over the walls” of the building a few months prior that same year.
Montalvo resurfaced at a WWE live event in Florida this year and began harassing employees, yelling obscenities and concerning staff. The fan also began posting cryptic messages on Instagram that began to alarm WWE officials.
“WWE says they learned Montalvo posted an Instagram message on April 4 cryptically threatening WWE wrestlers and staff — and rushed to court to get an immediate restraining order against him because they fear he’s a serious threat.”
