As per a new report from the Figure Four Online/Wrestling Observer, former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann made his return to wrestling Saturday April 14th for the Combat Zone Wrestling show in Voorhees, NJ as a surprise entrant in the four-way Best of the Best tournament match where he worked with Joe Gacy, Joey Janela and Brandon Kirk. Gacy went on to win the match.
Swann was released by WWE back on February 18, 2018 following his December 10, 2017 arrest for domestic battery and false imprisonment over an incident in Gainesville, Florida with his wife Vannarah Riggs (independent wrestler Su Yung). He was eventually cleared of all charges and on March 8, 2018 he announced he was retiring from wrestling.
