WRDB out of Kentucky has a new article up from Friday about former WWE star and former Impact Wrestling producer Al Snow purchasing the long-standing Ohio Valley Wrestling promotion from founder Danny Davis recently.
OVW was the main developmental territory for the WWE from 1999 to 2008 and developed such famed WWE stars like John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista and Brock Lesnar. Davis founded OVW in 1997 and still runs weekly television from the Davis Arena in Louisville.
The article noted that following the purchase of the company, Davis will be retiring from the wrestling business and moving down to Florida.
