Ronda Rousey was all over ESPN on Tuesday morning promoting her signing with WWE and upcoming in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 in two weeks in New Orleans.
Given her mixed martial arts background as a former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, Rousey was naturally asked about her time in the sport by various ESPN personalities. Rousey again didn’t seem interested in directly addressing it.
When asked by Mike Golic on “Golic and Wingo” if she knew when she felt her days of fighting were over, Rousey quickly said she never stated she was done with her MMA career and danced around the questioning provided by Golic.
Well this is painfully awkward. Ronda Rousey misunderstands question, gets annoyed. pic.twitter.com/Pt7XwVRazh

Later that day, Rousey appeared on “First Take” and was asked about the backlash in the MMA community when Rousey suffered her first loss to Holly Holm back in 2015. Rousey seemed to think the backlash comments were that of Kellerman and not the community.

These kinds of responses by Rousey regarding her MMA career (12-2 overall) is nothing new. Back in January when Rousey first signed with WWE and appeared the Royal Rumble, Rousey showed no interest in discussing her losses with ESPN.
Either way, Rousey’s involvement with WWE and WrestleMania this year is garnering major media attention and is something the WWE undoubtedly will welcome with open arms. We reported last week that ESPN and FOX Sports are both expected to attend WrestleMania in two weeks to cover Rousey’s involvement when she teams with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match.
Rousey made an appearance on last night’s RAW in Cleveland in a segment with Kurt Angle and Absolution, later getting physical with both Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. The company also released video of Rousey training for her in-ring debut at WrestleMania at the Performance Center in Orlando in what they touted was a four-hour long session. Rousey is expected to take part in more media to promote WrestleMania.
