Sports Illustrated is reporting that MLW (Major League Wrestling) has signed a television deal with the beIN SPORTS network as part of the “Friday Night Fury” block.

MLW, owned by Court Bauer, will reach an estimated 50 million households with the new TV deal in both English and Spanish featuring former WCW personality Tony Schiavone and former WWE NXT personality Rich Bocchini on commentary.

Bauer spoke at length with Sports Illustrated about the new television deal.

“We’ve been in talks since the fall, and they were very impressed with our product. We offer a different presentation because we identify ourselves as a combat sport, but we have a lot more creative freedom than every other combat sport to give the most high-octane presentation.”

Bauer revealed MLW would be introducing both Tag Team and Middleweight Championships to the promotion after they crown a new World Champion on April 12 at the upcoming “World Championship Finals” event.
