“WWE: Then. Now. Forever.”

We go back to Monday Night RAW, in which a match between Cesaro and Sami Zayn turned into chaos involving Kevin Owens and The Miz, and the decisions of Shane and Stephanie McMahon led to a tag match as Sami Zayn teamed with Kevin Owens to take on Cesaro and Miz. That match was won by Zayn and Owens, but not without its own bit of chaos with Owens standing tall. With that, the Smackdown intro takes us to a packed arena as commentary introduces The Miz and Maryse, along with Sami Zayn as Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring for the opening match of the night! Out next is Cesaro as commentary hypes the Fatal Four-Way match for the Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules! The bell rings, and this match is underway!

Renee asks for an explanation, and Lana says that Kalisto is a weak man that hides behind his mask, but Rusev is the greatest United States Champion of all time. Rusev says he made Kalisto humble, turned that Mexican churro into a pretzel, and at Extreme Rules I take back MY title, and they will no longer say “Lucha, Lucha”…they will say “Matchka, matchka!” Rusev and Lana walk off as we see Ziggler and Sheamus walking backstage, heading toward the ring area for their match up next!

Jericho enters the ring as commentary hypes the Asylum Match, and we see Jericho has a mic telling us to be quiet. Hanging above me is the Asylum, one of the most barbaric structures in WWE history and built by Dean Ambrose. He might think he’s got me right where he wants me, but I’ve been in every match WWE has created: street fights, ladder matches, last man standing, Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber, I’ve been in them all…but I’ve never been in an Asylum Match. This is the first one ever, so he hasn’t been in one either, which gives me the upper hand because I am smarter than him. I’m also crazier than he is. I beat the hell out of him with no remorse and no regrets, and before that I smashed a twenty pound pot over his head and sent him to the hospital for a day. Jericho calls for the cage to be lowered, to give us an idea of how many days he can put him in the hospital for: another pot, a straitjacket, and other weapons including a mop and bucket. Congratulations Ambrose, you stupid idiot…forty days in the hospital is gonna cost him a lot more than $15,000! I’m gonna give him lacerations and all kinds of damage, but most of all I’m gonna give him the gift of Jericho, drink it in! We see someone walking behind him, and it’s revealed it’s Dean Ambrose! Ambrose lays into Jericho before grabbing a kendo stick from the top.
