“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
The RAW video plays, and we’re treated to a pyrotechnics display as we go live into the arena in Oakland, California.
Sasha Banks’ music hits, and the new RAW Women’s Champion makes her way to the ring to a nice reception. Footage is shown from last week’s RAW where Banks defeated Charlotte to win the title in the main event of the evening. Banks holds up the title in the ring while a “You deserve it” chant breaks out. Banks says she feels like she’s on the top of the world, but it wasn’t long ago that she was seated in the last row or watching this show on TV every week. She was just a little boss, but she had big dreams watching her hero, Eddie Guerrero. An “Eddie” chant fires up, and Banks wishes him a happy birthday. She watched her hero lie, cheat, and steal his way into the hearts of the WWE Universe. She wanted to be like that. She would watch women like Lita and Trish Stratus tearing it down in the main event. Her dreams came true last week when she faced Charlotte in the main event of Monday Night RAW. She put her body on the line, stole the show, and became a two-time RAW Women’s Champion. This isn’t just about her. This is for all the women that came before and those yet to come, and to all the little girls that want to be like her. She says the Women’s Revolution is on a roll, and she knows the next stop. Charlotte is getting a rematch for the RAW Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell, so they should up the ante and do it INSIDE Hell in a Cell.
Charlotte’s music hits, and she makes her way to the ring. Rusev’s music then unexpectedly hits, and he storms out to the ring alongside his wife, Lana. Rusev is sporting a new cut in his facial hair. They walk right by Charlotte and get in the ring with Sasha Banks while the crowd boos them. Rusev tells them to settle down. No one cares about the stupid Women’s Revolution. No one cares that they main evented RAW last week because he is the main event wherever he goes. Charlotte gets in the ring, and she grabs the microphone out of his hand. Charlotte says, “My title might be around her waist, but who the hell do you think you are? No one disrespects the queen!” Rusev does not look happy. Charlotte says if Banks wants to face her inside Hell in a Cell — a “YES” chant breaks out — she agrees to it.
Rusev grabs the microphone out of Charlotte’s hand and says, “Well that’s good for you, but I wasn’t finished, black swan,” in reference to her robe. Rusev says this is his ring and whatever he says, goes. Banks grabs the microphone out of his hand and slams it down. Lana holds Rusev back and picks up the microphone. Lana says they’re two lost women that need to know their place. They’re constantly fighting to be seen as women, yet they whine like little girls. Hell in a Cell is made for real men — Banks and Charlotte shove her down. Rusev checks on his wife. Banks and Charlotte have some unspoken communication before giving him a double dropkick out of the ring!
Rusev angrily gets in the ring, and Roman Reigns’ music hits. Reigns comes out to a big mixed reaction and prepares to fight. Lana tries to talk some sense into him. Reigns gets in the ring, and Rusev gets out. Reigns stares at him while Rusev and Lana walk around the ring and leave. Banks holds up her RAW Women’s Championship and talks some trash to Charlotte.
Paul Heyman will be on RAW tonight to address Goldberg’s comments on ESPN. We’ll also see Seth Rollins take on Chris Jericho.

Mick Foley is walking backstage in a flannel suit jacket and has his hair combed. Stephanie McMahon stops him and says he looks nice before asking if she can join him for his Hell in a Cell address. Foley agrees.
-Commercial Break-
Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon are in the ring. Stephanie calls attention to Foley’s unique suit. Stephanie says “No Mercy” was incredible last night, but in three weeks, RAW will have “Hell in a Cell,” and it will blow “No Mercy” away. Here to tell them all about it right here in Oakland, California (cheap pop), is RAW General Manager Mick Foley. Foley says “Hell in a Cell” already has one Hell in a Cell match with Rusev and Roman Reigns. Reigns wanted a big fight and has it. Earlier tonight, Sasha Banks mentioned she wanted a Hell in a Cell match. Stephanie says that’s never been done before. Foley says the women don’t get what they want because they want it, they get what they deserve. Last week, the women made history. It was his proudest moment so far. The women deserve to make history at “Hell in a Cell.” Foley then books the first-ever Women’s Match inside Hell in a Cell. They deserve it. A “YES” chant breaks out.
Foley says we have two Hell in a Cell matches. Seth Rollins asked for his rematch, and he’ll grant it to him. After the controversy at “Clash of Champions,” their match will also be inside Hell in a Cell. Stephanie says there will be three Hell in a Cell matches.
Kevin Owens’ music hits, and the WWE Universal Champion comes out to the ring with Chris Jericho alongside him. Owens sarcastically congratulates Foley for outdoing himself on the stupidest decision yet. Owens doesn’t want to be in a Hell in a Cell match because he wants to have a nice, long career and not wind up as a washed up General Manager like Foley. Owens says he’s better than that because he’s the WWE Universal Champion. They get in the ring. Jericho says Foley just gave Rollins the match because he asked for it. Now Foley is just granting requests like a genie in a stupid suit. What if he asked for a private jet with “Team Chris and Kevin” on the side? Owens says he already beat Rollins twice. Jericho says this is stemming from the vendetta Foley has against him, and he’s taking it out on his best friend. Foley says he got him his first job, but hasn’t liked him in nineteen years. Jericho says Foley is putting the champion inside one of the most dangerous matches in WWE. Foley says, “You’re damn right, I am.” Jericho asks if Foley knows what’s going to happen. Foley doesn’t know. Jericho takes the pen off the list and says, “You just made the list!” Foley says he’s already on the list, so Jericho puts him on the list again.
Jericho asks Stephanie to take care of that guy. Stephanie puts Foley over as a legend and setting the bar for Hell in a Cell before telling Jericho to show some respect. Stephanie says she doesn’t care what list she makes. Jericho secretly puts her on the list. Stephanie says they listened to Rollins give his legitimate grievance. They also listened to Rollins when he said he wanted to get revenge on Owens and Jericho. Jericho says he’d like to see that stupid idiot try. Stephanie says after watching the triple threat at “No Mercy,” she figured RAW could do it bigger and better. She says to Foley if Jericho can defeat Seth Rollins tonight, then he’s in the WWE Universal Championship match at “Hell in a Cell.” That way everyone is happy. Foley says he’s happy and agrees to make it official. Owens looks flabbergasted while Jericho smirks. Stephanie tells them to have a nice day and gives a “thumbs up” like Foley does.
Seth Rollins is backstage with the new RAW announcer. Rollins says Stephanie McMahon likes to pull the strings and plan ahead. If she wants to turn the Hell in a Cell match into “Table for 3,” she’s got another thing coming. Rollins says he’ll beat Jericho and get his hands on Owens. Stephanie’s plans will be blown up. Rollins then wonders what Owens is thinking about that. If Jericho gets in the match, is he going to be his best friend or will he be just another guy trying to be the Universal Champion. Rollins says he’s no longer a cog in the machine. Rollins says he’s the man that will destroy the machine piece by piece.
Later tonight, we’ll see Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks take on Charlotte and Rusev. We’ll also see Paul Heyman address Goldberg’s comments.
