February 15, 2016
Anaheim, California
Report by: Adam Martin of Wrestleview.com
The show opens with highlights from the contract signing for WWE Fastlane involving Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. We then see Lesnar and Ambrose brawling with Reigns later getting involved last week on RAW.
We go live to Anaheim where WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose walks out to kick off the show tonight. We get a plug for WWE Fastlane this Sunday night featuring Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns with the winner moving on to WrestleMania 32 to face Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Ambrose grabs a mic and says he is in for the fight of his life this Sunday. He said that is Sunday and tonight is Monday Night RAW. Ambrose said he learned as a kid that when the biggest bully comes at you, he did what he had to do and he has a feeling that the beast is pretty angry with “old Deano.” He said we might be in sunny California, but he heard an F5 might be rolling through tonight so Lesnar can finish what he started. Ambrose calls out “the big gorilla” Lesnar. Stephanie McMahon walks out instead.
Stephanie grabs a mic and is confused why Ambrose would be touting his “lack of performance” against Brock Lesnar last week and how he had to rely on Roman Reigns to get in a cheap shot from behind. She said we will find out this Sunday at Fastlane if Ambrose can overcome both Lesnar and Reigns to face her husband, The Game, in the main event of WrestleMania. Ambrose said he understands how this goes and he’d rather get to the fighting instead. Stephanie asks the crowd if they want to see Ambrose take an F5 tonight. The crowd cheers. Stephanie says how awkward of the crowd to cheer that. She announces that tonight F5 stands for Fatal 5 Way as Ambrose’s WWE Intercontinental Championship will be on the line. Before she leaves, Stephanie said if Roman Reigns interferes in the match tonight then Ambrose will be disqualified from competing in the triple threat match this Sunday night at Fastlane. She wonders how Reigns will play it tonight – save your friend and increase your chances at Fastlane. Stephanie backs off and announces the title match is up right now.
Kevin Owens, Stardust, Tyler Breeze and Dolph Ziggler are out next.
