Seth Rollins gloats about his victory at Money in the Bank
Seth Rollins thanks everyone for coming out tonight before welcoming them to Monday Night RAW. Rollins then corrects himself and calls the show “Monday Night Rollins.” Rollins says he is undoubtedly the best thing about RAW week in and week out. Rollins then reiterates that he is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Before he goes any further, he wants to acknowledge his opponent from last night, Dean Ambrose. Ambrose brought the fight to him like never before. Ambrose made good on his promise and brought his “A” game. Still photos are shown of Ambrose in the match. Rollins says as good as Ambrose’s “A” game is, it isn’t as good as his. Last night at Money in the Bank, he made good on his promise and beat Ambrose all by himself in one of the greatest ladder matches in WWE and took back what was his all along, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Rollins says he doesn’t want to brag because he’s only one man. It takes an incredible team to make someone like him thrive. Last night, when he was clutching his title, he had to hold back his emotions thinking about all the people that got him to the very mountaintop he’s at. Rollins claims he’s a first class team player and wants to acknowledge all the people who helped him get to where he is. He’s just a kid from Davenport, Iowa. Think about how far he’s come. Rollins pulls out a list of names, and the crowd begins to boo. Rollins says the crowd is showing a lack of respect. Rollins thanks himself first before saying his name over and over again. Rollins says there is more and doesn’t want to leave anyone out. Rollins then says his name a few more times. He certainly wouldn’t thank “Dumb and Dumber” aka J&J Security. He wouldn’t thank “The Devil’s Favorite Dinosaur.” Hell, he didn’t even need Triple H and Stephanie because that’s how good he is. Rollins says he punched his ticket to the Hall of Fame last night. Parents around the world will name their children after him. Rollins holds up the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and tells Cleveland to take a good look because that’s what a championship looks like. Johnny “Idiot-Face” sitting in the crowd will never bring them a title nor will LeBron James. This is drawing massive heat from the crowd. Rollins says this is the only championship they should be celebrating because he is leaving this piece of crap town and is bringing the title with him.
Dean Ambrose’s music hits, and he comes out to a nice reception from the crowd. Ambrose limps his way to the ring. Rollins meets him halfway, and they begin throwing punches. Ambrose gets him in the ring before immediately clotheslining him over the top rope. Ambrose goes outside, and Rollins kicks him in the injured knee. Ambrose kicks him away before diving off the commentary table with a clothesline. Ambrose throws him into the ring, but Rollins quickly escapes with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Ambrose stares at him from the ring as Rollins walks off to the back. Ambrose grabs a chair and throws it into the ring. Ambrose says the title might have literally slipped from his fingers last night when they crashed to the mat last night, but when Rollins was running his mouth before it reminded him how much he’s enjoyed making Rollins’ life a living hell these last few weeks. Ambrose doesn’t want it to end. Ambrose says he’ll take a seat in the great state of Ohio and won’t leave until Rollins gets back here. Ambrose sits in the middle of the ring and waits for Rollins. The crowd is loudly buzzing for Ambrose as he waits for Rollins to come back.
-Commercial Break-
We come back from the break to see Ambrose still sitting in the ring waiting for Rollins to come back.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are talking in their office when Rollins walks in. Rollins asks if they’re really going to let Ambrose sit out there and take hostage of the show. Triple H says it’s been taken care of. Rollins says he beat him fair and square. This is his title and his show. Rollins says they make the decisions, not Ambrose. Stephanie asks if he listens to himself because they do. When Rollins was out there, he said that he doesn’t need them. Rollins backtracks and says he didn’t say that, so Triple H asks if he’s calling his wife a liar. Rollins says he was just out there sticking it to everyone who said he couldn’t do it on his own. Rollins says they are what’s best for business. Rollins tells them to get Ambrose ejected from the building so they can move on. Triple H says they were just talking about his next opponent. It could be anyone, even Ambrose. Rollins asks if he’ll even get a say. Triple H says they trusted him to win all on his own last night, so he needs to trust them.
Ambrose is shown still sitting in the center of the ring. Sheamus’ music hits, and the winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match makes his way to the ring with a microphone. Sheamus says they’re very much alike. They both like to fight and made bold predictions at Money in the Bank. The difference is he’s a winner and Ambrose is a loser. At Money in the Bank, Ambrose lost while he became Mr. Money in the Bank. The crowd loudly boos that. Sheamus says this means he’s one Brogue Kick away from becoming the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion anytime, any place, anywhere. It might even happen tonight. The Authority thought it might be a good idea to celebrate this momentous occasion by kicking Ambrose’s head off his shoulders purely for his entertainment. Ambrose tosses the chair aside and waits for Sheamus to get in the ring. Sheamus slowly gets in the ring, and the referee rings the bell. This is an official match.

Rollins says he’s willing to bring them back onboard if they have any inside information as to who Triple H and Stephanie are picking as his next opponent. Jamie Noble says if they did know, they wouldn’t tell him, but they should pick the guy who pinned the champion last week, Joey Mercury. Rollins laughs before asking Noble if he’s been drinking too much of his granddaddy’s moonshine. Rollins says no one wants to see a match between him and Mercury. Rollins thinks they’re praying to get their jobs back. Mercury says he thinks Rollins is afraid of him. Rollins goes to speak, but Mercury says he wasn’t finished. Mercury says he’s afraid to get in the ring with him again because no matter what happens, the record books will always show that he lost to J&J Security. Rollins is all by himself and vulnerable. The question isn’t if he’ll lose the title. It’s when. They then walk off.

Kevin Owens will be out, next.
-Commercial Break-
Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring. Michael Cole talks about how John Cena his suffered lower back contusions following Owens’ powerbomb into the apron. Owens says John Cena is not here tonight, and the crowd loudly cheers that. Owens says if they want someone to blame for that, then they should look no further than Cena himself. He’s not denying he played a part in what happened to him because he did powerbomb him on the edge of the apron, but Cena forced him to do that. After the match last night, as they shook hands, Cena said something to him that’s the most disrespectful thing he’s heard in his 15-year career. Cena looked at him and said he belongs in this ring in front of these people. Owens says he knows he belongs here. He’s known he’s belonged here the very moment he stepped in a WWE ring. Owens says he sure as hell doesn’t need Cena to endorse him in any way, shape, or form. People want to talk about him being a sore loser, but they should talk about how Cena is a bad winner. Cena could have walked to the back like a gracious winner, but he stood here and insisted he shake his hand. That was not a gesture of respect. That was Cena hogging the spotlight because he always has to be a hero. The fact is Cena disrespected him and he did what he had to do.
Regardless of what happened last night, he still holds a victory over the United States Champion and deserves a rematch. This time when he wins, he wants the United States Title. This is usually the time when Cena’s music hits before issuing an open challenge, but that’s probably not happening, so he will. If anyone wants a piece of Kevin Owens, then let’s do it.
Dolph Ziggler’s music hits, and he comes out to the stage with Lana before kissing her. Ziggler then leaves her behind. Ziggler says other than kissing Lana, Owens just made his night. Ziggler will never defend Cena, but Owens has a lot of guts standing in the ring talking about sacrifice. Ziggler says he’s scratched and clawed for everything he’s gotten in this business. This city has scratched and clawed for a chance at a championship, so he’ll be damned if he’s not going to give them one right now. If Owens wants a challenger for the NXT Title, he’s looking at him.
Lilian Garcia says that this match is for the NXT Championship, but Owens cuts her off. Owens says he issued an open challenge, but he never said it was for the NXT Championship. If Ziggler wants to face him, it’ll be a non-title match!

Owens then connects with a cannonball in the corner for another near fall.
Owens sends him into the ropes for the Pop-up Powerbomb, but Ziggler gets out and connects with the Zig-Zag! Ziggler takes a few moments to recover before covering him for a near fall. The crowd is chanting, “This is awesome.” Ziggler gets him to his feet, but Owens comes back with a kick to the knee followed by a superkick. Kane is walking backstage when Seth Rollins walks up to him. Rollin congratulates him on his victory before saying he must be in a better mood than last night. Rollins reminds Kane that he lost while he beat Ambrose all by himself. Kane might not have the guts to admit it, but he was his biggest doubter. Rollins says his success physically pains Kane because it reminds him of everything he used to be. Kane used to be a champion, a winner, and a man to be feared. Kane says anyone can win one match, but if he truly wants to be the future of WWE, he has to win match after match, night after night. It takes an entire team behind you to do that. If Rollins doesn’t understand that, he’s not an architect – he’s an idiot. No one can do it on their own. Rollins says he can do it on his own. Rollin says Kane wouldn’t understand because he’s always had someone holding his hand, like Paul Bearer and Undertaker. Kane grabs him and warns him to never say anything about his family again. Wyatt’s video flashes, and he’s seen backstage. Wyatt says in the morning, two stars will rise. One will speak the truth while the other tells lies. Reigns tells him to shut his mouth and get out here right now. Wyatt cackles and says Reigns has a fiery temper. Reigns wants answers, but he hasn’t the capacity to comprehend their meaning. Wyatt says it should’ve been him ascending the ladder to retrieve his destiny, but it was Reigns. Two weeks ago, Reigns stole his opportunity. Wyatt says he could have changed things and been the beacon of hope the world needs, but Reigns selfishly denied him. It’s Reigns’ ego that makes him do crazy things. Reigns reminds him of someone he knew a long time ago. He was the chosen one and the people believed he would lead them to paradise. One was chosen while the other was cast aside. Now we know they made the wrong choice. All Reigns needs to do is look outside his window and see this is no paradise. It’s the opposite, just like the two of them. Wyatt is the yin to Reigns’ yang. They balance this out and need each other. That’s how he knew when he saw Reigns climbing the ladder. The justice Reigns used to fight for needed to be sought out. Anyone but Reigns should’ve won. Wyatt says he will destroy Reigns, but not tonight. Wyatt wonders what kind of example they’d be setting with Father’s Day right around the corner. Wyatt then holds up a picture of Reigns and his daughter while singing “I’m A Little Teapot,” the song from Reigns’ commercial with his daughter. Wyatt laughs before saying, “Run!”

Seth Rollins’ next WWE World Heavyweight Championship opponent is announced
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way to the ring arm in arm. Stephanie apologizes for the actions of Kevin Owens against MGK earlier tonight. Disciplinary actions will be taken against Owens because that’s what’s best for business. When she says that, it’s not a slogan or catchphrase. It’s truly how they run this global property. That’s how they put smiles on people’s faces the world over. Tonight, they have the distinction of announcing who the next challenger will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. She guarantees they made that decision doing what’s best for business. Triple H says a lot of superstars feel they deserve a shot at Seth Rollins and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H assures us that it won’t be Joey Mercury, Jamie Noble, Kane, or Dean Ambrose. Stephanie wonders who it will be.
Seth Rollins’ music hits, and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring smiling. Rollins says it really doesn’t matter who they pick as his next opponent. They’ve been right about him all along. There is nobody on the roster that is capable of taking this title from him. Rollins says he’s every bit as good as they say or better. Whoever they pick as his next opponent, he’ll beat and embarrass them. Rollins says he’ll make them proud. Triple H says he might just do that. While a lot of people have doubted him, he’s proven himself since he won the title at WrestleMania. Rollins has beaten Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and Dean Ambrose. Last night at Money in the Bank, he did what he said he would do without any help or backup. Rollins has proven his point and arguably never needed anyone’s help in the first place. Stephanie says Rollins is a very polarizing figure. She says some people feel without The Authority that he would be ripe for the picking. Rollins has tested their patience a number of times, so he might have something left to prove. Triple H says they’ve invested everything in the future and in Rollins. Sometimes in life, you have to take a step back and look at your investment. You have to decide if the investment will pay off or if it’s just sunk cost. If you want to know what you have with a lump of coal, you stick it under immense pressure. That pressure does one of two things – it’ll either turn to dust or turn into a diamond that you always hoped it could be. Triple H says the question is if Rollins will crumble or become the diamond they invested in. Triple H says the pressure is on. Rollins nods his head in agreement.
BROCK LESNAR’S MUSIC HITS! Brock Lesnar makes his way out to the stage in a “Suplex City” t-shirt with Paul Heyman. The crowd explodes in a thunderous pop. Rollins looks absolutely stunned. Lesnar and Heyman walk around the ring as the commentators talk about how Lesnar was never pinned at WrestleMania to lose the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Lesnar jumps up to the apron and gets in with Heyman. Rollins looks terrified. Heyman and Triple H shake hands. Heyman then shakes hands with Stephanie. The crowd is buzzing as everyone clears the ring but Lesnar and Rollins. A “Suplex City” chant breaks out. Rollins cannot even make eye contact with Lesnar. Lesnar approaches him and stares him down with a smirk. Rollins takes a step back, and Lesnar follows him. Rollins takes another step, and Lesnar does the same. Rollins then backs out of the ring and slowly walks to the back as Lesnar stares at him, never taking his eyes off him. Rollins looks like he’s close to tears. They will face each other in five weeks at WWE Battleground for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Lesnar’s music plays, and he continues to stare at Rollins as the show comes to an end.
