Smackdown kicks off with R-Truth and Carmella in the ring with the Miz TV setup. R-Truth imitates The Miz and welcomes everyone to Truth TV. He introduces Carmella who introduces Daniel Bryan to the show. R-Truth says he wanted Bryan to be his first guest because he has a lot of questions for him. R-Truth asks Daniel Bryan if he can call him D and tells him that he has been dealing with The Miz for 8 years but last week he was able to foil his plans with the other Carmella, how would it be to finally defeat The Miz at Super Showdown and being one step closer to the WWE title?
Bryan says that was an insightful question. Daniel says it’s already way better than Miz TV. Carmella cuts in and says that it’s now time for the Truth TV 7 second dance break as she and R-Truth dance. R-Truth says he has an animal segment coming up but he wants to hear more about him and The Miz. Daniel says he has spent so much energy trying to come back to the WWE but when he came back, he wanted to be the WWE champion. Because when he was champion, he only defended it one time and he has unfinished business with the WWE championship and with The Miz.
The Miz’s music hits and out he comes. He asks R-Truth what he’s doing and R-Truth says it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out. A loud “Truth TV” chant from the crowd erupts. Truth says two weeks ago he beat him in the ring and if he had a championship, it would be his. But instead, he got a talk show so he just took that. The Miz calls him an idiot and R-Truth says he’s an idiot with a talk show. The Miz says he and Bryan have their differences but people love Daniel because he is Daniel Bryan. He’s the scrappy underdog but he always fights fair and that is why people love him. But that’s why he will never beat him. The Miz says he may not be scrappy but he is smart. He is not a coward, he wins at all cost. He says it’s the reason why he will beat him at Super Showdown. The Miz says he will do anything to move on to the WWE championship but Daniel is too proud to do anything it takes to win. And that’s why he always lets people down. The Miz says if Daniel cheats, he will forever tarnish the name of Daniel Bryan.
R-Truth says with all that talking, he will kill his animal segment. R-Truth goes on to ban The Miz from Truth-TV for life. The Miz says it isn’t even his show. Carmella is seen telling R-Truth something as the crowd chants “Truth TV”. R-Truth tells The Miz if he wants the show back, he will fight him for it. The Miz says fight for what, it’s his show. Suddenly, music plays and they break into a dance.
The Miz goes to see Paige backstage and asks her if she sees what is going on right there. He asks her how they can replace Miz TV with that. Paige says if he wants Miz TV back, he will have to go and win it back. The Miz walks back out to the ring.
