Shane McMahon’s music hits as he makes his way to the ring. Shane welcomes everyone to Smackdown Live and thanks everyone for being there. She says the superstar shake-up is next week but that’s next week. As her first act as General Manager, she wants to make this night truly special for everyone. She mentions Daniel Bryan and how he hasn’t wrestled a match on television in over 3 years. She asks the crowd who wants to see him in action tonight? A “YES” chant from the crowd. Paige announces Daniel Bryan will face… And she pauses. A “RUESV DAY” and “AJ Styles” chant from the crowd. She says Daniel Bryan will face AJ Styles! A loud pop from everyone in the arena quickly followed by the “YES” chant.

Great opening segment. Love that Paige is the new GM on #SDLive, it does change it up and I can see them doing great things with her as General Manager. Big match announced for later tonight, Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles! Wow!

Up next, Randy Orton vs. Bobby Roode vs. Rusev, the winner becomes the number 1 contender for the WWE United States title at Backlash.
A meh match between Naomi and Natalya. They really have to do something with these 2 talented women. Maybe send them to #Raw or something. I doubt Naomi gets anything out of winning the Women's Battle Royal. #SDLive

Solid short promo by Nakamura. They pulled the trigger with him on Sunday at #WrestleMania and I liked his "Sorry, no speak English" line. They're continuing that feud with him and AJ, wonder if they'll throw Daniel Bryan in there to boot.

Charlotte Flair, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay (Iconic Duo) debut
Charlotte says Sunday at Wrestlemania she faced the toughest challenge of her career. Asuka made her dig harder and deeper than ever before and she thanks her for it. She says that Asuka and herself left every ounce of energy and emotion at Wrestlemania and it was magical. The question is who will she make magic with next?
As she’s speaking, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay’s music hits as the NXT duo debut on Smackdown. Royce says one of them can make that title disappear from around her waist. Billie Kay says her match at Wrestlemania was good but not iconic. Nobody wants to hear her yack away. They then go on to mock Charlotte’s speech.
They say to stop talking about a match that happened in the past when there’s the future. They both attack Charlotte and Charlotte fights back but the number’s game is too much. They throw Charlotte over the announce table on the outside of the ring. They then throw Charlotte into the ring post and then into the steel ring stairs. They then lift Charlotte up and throw her onto the mat on the outside of the ring. Back in the ring, they stand on top of Charlotte posing for the camera.
Carmella cashes in her Money in the Bank
Carmella’s music hits and she’s in with the referee. She cashes in her Money in the Bank briefcase. The referee is taking his time to cash it in as Carmella is yelling. The bell rings and the cash in is on! Charlotte is back-up, the bell rings and kick to the head by Carmella onto Charlotte. She goes fort the cover and gets the 3 count!
Winner: NEW Smackdown Live Women’s champion, Carmella!
Great way of debuting the Iconic Duo and an excellent way of finally having Carmella cash in her Money in the Bank. After weeks of teasing, they finally had her cash it in and win. Everyone comes out of this looking strong, even Charlotte. #SDLive

Loving #SDLive so far. Very little filler and while not done yet, the best episode they have put together in weeks, if not months.

Winner: Number 1 contender for United States title, Randy Orton
Entertaining triple threat match but not happy with the result. We've gotten Orton and Mahal too many times now. Would have preferred Rusev wins as I think the entertainment value in a feud between he and Mahal could be huge. Lots of potential there but Orton it is. #SDLive

Carmella backstage
Backstage Carmella is getting interviewed. Carmella says when a queen overstays her welcome, there’s always a princess who will take her place. She mentions 287 days of her being patient and waiting for the perfect time to cash in. Carmella is fighting back the tears and she says there’s someone she wants to thank. And that is thank you to herself. She made history at Money in the Bank and made history against tonight alone. She says Mella is Money. And now, Mella has the gold.
Carmella has really improved on the mic recently. She plays a great heel and finally getting some reaction from the crowd. Although I wonder how long she'll keep the title.#SDLive

Renee Young is backstage with AJ. Styles says he doesn’t want an apology from Nakamura and how he’s not his concern tonight. Never in a million years did he think he would stand accross Daniel Bryan in a WWE ring. He praises Danyel but says he’s not phenomenal.
Daniel Byan vs. AJ Styles
The bell rings and it’s the main event. Both men lock up and a headlock by AJ. Bryan sends AJ to the ropes and AJ shoulders him down. A quick take down by Styles but Bryan gets out of it. AJ sends Daniel Bryan to the turn buckle, AJ runs behind him but Daniel flips over him off the top rope. He lands holding his knee in pain and AJ goes behind Daniel and takes him down. Back up, Daniel applies an arm bar on AJ but AJ reverses it into a counter and Daniel counters that. AJ reverses Daniel’s reversal and goes for the cover but a quick kick out. Both men back up and a huge clothesline by AJ takes Daniel out. Styles on the ring apron, he goes for the phenomenal forearm but Bryan lands a kick on him and takes AJ out. Daniel goes for the kick but Styles catches him and tries to go for the Styles clash but a reversal by Daniel and the Yes lock is applied! AJ Styles reaches the ropes.
Daniel Bryan with the tree of woe onto AJ in the corner and a bunch of kicks. Both men on the top rope now and Daniel goes for the back drop but AJ lands on Daniel Bryan. In comes Nakamura and he kicks Daniel Bryan resulting in a disqualification. He then attacks AJ Styles and low blows him, shades of what he did at Wrestlemania. Nakamura delivers the knee to the face onto AJ Styles. And another low blow by Nakamura onto Styles as he walks away.
Winner: By disqualification, AJ Styles
A great match between AJ and Daniel Bryan but a predictable finish with Nakamura getting involved. I wonder if they'll send Bryan to Raw or keep him on #SDLive and have him involved in this feud.

A solid episode of #SDLive and for me one of the best in a long, long time. A great main event, a new Women's champion via cash in, Paige as the new GM and a few fun matches. Looking forward to the superstar shake up next week.
