WWE announced on Tuesday afternoon that Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring by “by leading neurosurgeons, neurologists and concussion experts.”
Bryan was forced to retire from in-ring action in 2016 after several concussions and his inability to be cleared by WWE doctors to make a return to the ring full-time.
Bryan went on to become General Manager of Smackdown Live in the Summer of 2016, but has consistently attempted to get clearance from WWE doctors to return to the ring through numerous medical practices by doctors specializing in concussions.

With Smackdown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon being attacked by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn last week and the rumors of Bryan returning to team with Shane at Wrestlemania 34 against Owens and Zayn, this seems to put those wheels in motion.
Bryan is expected to address the announcement on tonight’s Smackdown Live.
