Yahoo.com is featuring an article about the news that John Cena and Nikki Bella have officially split as a couple after six years together.
The article claims Nikki was the one who broke off the engagement to Cena, per a source.
“He was making it abundantly clear that he was going into this gritting his teeth the whole way. [Nikki] doesn’t need a pity proposal, a pity wedding, a pity husband. She’s a phenomenal, tremendous woman.”
It was revealed on Monday in a report by People that Cena and Nikki were scheduled to get married in just a few weeks on May 5 at a destination wedding in Mexico.
The couple became engaged last year when Cena publicly proposed to Nikki inside the ring at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando at Camping World Stadium.
The same source quoted earlier in the story went on to question Cena’s intentions about the relationship from the start, including his very public proposal. The relationship between Cena and Nikki has been heavily documented on the “Total Divas” and “Total Bellas” reality shows in the last few years as part of the E! Network.
