Dana White says Brock Lesnar is returning to the UFC: “I don’t know when, but yes he is”

During an appearance on UFC Tonight this week, UFC President Dana White was asked if current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar would be returning to the UFC.

Although White gave brief responses, he did confirm that Lesnar is returning.

“Yeah, Brock Lesnar’s coming back. I don’t know when, but yes he is.”

Lesnar will defend the WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34 this Sunday in New Orleans, which is believed to be Lesnar’s final contracted appearance as he is not scheduled for RAW the next night.

Paul Heyman spoke with the New York Post this week confirming that both his deal and Lesnar’s deal with WWE would is expiring and that it was no secret Lesnar was in negotiations with the UFC stemming from a photo with Dana White back in February.

Lesnar’s return to the world of mixed martial arts with the UFC would mark his first time back after a one-shot return back at UFC 200 in July of 2016, a fight that Vince McMahon approved while Lesnar remained under an active WWE deal at the time.

The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online pointed out that Lesnar would still need to resolve the one-year suspension he received from USADA stemming from positive tests regarding his UFC 200 fight. Lesnar officially retired from MMA last February.
