Fresh off the heels of Sunday’s “Slammiversary” Impact opens up live from Pennsylvania with highlights from the PPV.
MVP comes out to the ring along with Lashley and King, MVP is on crutches much like he was Sunday night. MVP says that tonight there will not be any “gratuitous verbiage” and he will get straight to the point. MVP says what happened at Slammiversary was a travesty which he is still disgusted at. He says that Dixie Carter whined to the Board of Directors and he was reprimanded by them for what they claim is unprofessional behavior. MVP says that he realizes the board wants MVP to do things their way but their way doesn’t work for him, and he want let some “pasty faced suit” tell him how to run his show. MVP says he doesn’t see any Board of Directors hanging around tonight so things will be done his way tonight. MVP tells Eric Young to get out to the ring because they have some business to attend to.
EY comes out to a nice reaction from the PA crowd. EY says the only travesty that took place Sunday was that he didn’t get the chance to punch MVP in the face. EY reminds MVP that he is still World Champion and he says he is a champion the people can believe on. MVP says that EY and Aries colluded so that they wouldn’t have to see Lashley down the stretch in the Main Event. EY says that he doesn’t have much patience and neither do the fans and it’s the fans that are calling the shots. He says he doesn’t want to wait two hours so if it is okay he wants to come down and kick MVP’s ass right now. MVP says he’s on crutches and EY would love to try to beat up someone on crutches. He says that if his knee wasn’t hurt he would whoop EY’s ass all over the state of PA.
Kenny King takes the microphone from MVP and says that they need to give all the people what they want to see which is Kenny King beating EY’s ass for that TNA World Title tonight. EY asks the fans if they want to see “big mouth” get put in his place and then he asks Earl Hebner to come out onto the stage. Hebner walks out and MVP and Lashley are pissed at King running his mouth again. EY comes down to the ring and MVP looks like he’s going to allow the match.

EY floats up and over King and then ducks through his legs and connects with a dropkick for an early nearfall. EY puts King in a side headlock but King counters into one of his own. EY shoves King into the ropes only to eat a shoulder block. King hits the ropes but runs right into a Thesz Press from EY! EY charges at King but King lifts EY up into the air and crotches him on the top rope. King hits a Spinning Enziguri that knocks EY off the top rope and to the floor. Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and The Wolves walk down to the ring with chairs and sit down at ringside causing Lashley and MVP to back away from EY. King lifts EY up to his shoulders and taunts him saying “watch this,” and goes for the Royal Flush but EY counters into an inside cradle! 1…2…3!
Winner & STILL TNA World Champion: Eric Young via pinfall (inside cradle)
MVP and Lashley complain about what just happened as EY celebrates with the babyfaces.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Back from the break a pissed of MVP is slapping around a member of the ring crew at ringside. He forces the man, who is the timekeeper, to apologize to him for ringing the bell. MVP claims King kicked out of the pin. EY and the babyfaces run out and jump the heels! They even beat on MVP crutches and all. Security runs out to pull away the babyfaces as the fans chant “let them go.” Lashley shoves away security and Joe jumps on him! Security finally separates them again as MVP grabs a microphone.
MVP asks if they think this is a damn game and says he runs this company. MVP says he is like God in TNA and he is tired of people taking his kindness for weakness. MVP says since EY wants to accuse him of abusing his power he will damn sure abuse it now. He books EY in another World Title match this time against Lashley! MVP says because he is going to have security escort every single wrestler and part of the production crew out of the building and if the wrestlers refuse they will be fired. He says that since The Wolves, Aries, and Joe want to play “bodyguard” he has something for them too. The Wolves will defend their titles against Joe & Aries tonight as well! He says to make sure they actually fight he’s going to throw another team in that match as well, and now he wants Earl Hebner to get out to the ring immediately.
Earl Hebner comes out and MVP says he should slap the spit out of Hebner’s mouth, but not even he would slap a senior citizen. MVP says all Hebner had to do was one thing, count the three on EY but he refused to do that. MVP fires Hebner and then tells him to hand over his referee shirt! Brian Hebner runs out and asks MVP to lay off of his dad, but MVP says unless he wants to be fired too he better move to the side. King snatches Hebner’s shirt off of him and Hebner takes the microphone and says that he has loved this business for 37 years and it is people like MVP that make him hate it. Hebner says he still loves all the fans and MVP says maybe all these fans will take up a collection and pay his bills.
In the back Dixie Carter says MVP’s antics are just backing up what she told the Board of Directors last week. EC3 says everyone told him he couldn’t beat Bully Ray but just like he beat Sting and Kurt Angle he did it again. He calls himself the “Hardcore American Icon.” Dixie says she invited Tommy Dreamer since he has been badmouthing her all over social media so they will see if he can do it face to face. Dixie tells EC3 to take the night off and that she flew in “Helga” for him.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Earl Hebner is shown being escorted out of the building by security.
EY backstage says he’ll defend the belt all night long but what MVP did to Hebner is taking things too far. He says he’s messing with someone’s livelihood. Someone calls EY’s phone who EY asks if he has gotten to the hotel yet and says he needs him there. The camera zooms in on EY’s phone as he walks out which reads “Kurt Angle” on the caller ID.

Aries tries to fight out of the corner with stiff elbows and chops of his own but The Wolves cut him off. Eddie kills Joe with a Mafia Kick knocking him off the apron as Davey holds Aries in a waistlock. Eddie hits Aries with an Enziguri and then Davey hits him with a Bridging German Suplex! Eddie rolls over Davey into a Bridging Jackknife on Aries! 1…2…NO Willow breaks up the pin! The Wolves double team chemistry is insane. Davey tags into the match and exchanges forearms with Aries before hitting the Damage Reflex! Aries answers with the Roaring Elbow which causes Davey to fall back into Willow’s corner where Abyss tags him. Abyss stops Aries from tagging Joe and goes for a Chokeslam, but Aries stomps on his foot to block it and connects with the Roaring Elbow! Aries tags in Joe who hits an Atomic Drop on Abyss followed by a Mafia Kick and then the Backsplash Senton! Joe hits a Snap Powerslam on Abyss, 1…2…NO Abyss kicks out! Willow throws Davey into the ring and then climbs up top for the Swanton Bomb, but Davey gets his boots up and Eddie slides in and Powerbombs Willow into a Backstabber from Davey! 1…2…3! Damn what a match!
Winners & STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: The Wolves via pinfall (Powerbomb/Backstabber)
In the back MVP talks with Lashley and King, MVP is stressing about Kurt Angle possibly showing up. King calls Angle a cripple but MVP says that they didn’t anticipate his possible involvement tonight but King says he will handle it. MVP asks if he will handle it the same way he handled EY tonight or Aries on Sunday. MVP says they have to make sure their plan comes to fruition tonight and then says it would be such a tragedy if Angle tweaked his recently surgically repaired knee. King laughs and says that would be a travesty.
Tenay and Taz discuss all the drama between Tommy Dreamer and Dixie Carter recently. If you are unaware the long story made short is that several TNA wrestlers were booked for a recent House of Hardcore event, Tommy Dreamer’s independent promotion, and at the “last minute” Dixie pulled Bully Ray off the card who was scheduled to be in the Main Event. Dreamer cut a scathing promo on Dixie at the event and then the two have had a back and forth Twitter war ever since.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Backstage security is escorting Joe and Aries out of the building. The Wolves approach MVP who says that he has a gift for them. MVP says there was another team that deserved to be in that match but he forgot all about them so just like EY they get to defend their titles again! MVP says The Wolves are going to defend against Bram and Magnus, but Eddie tells MVP to be careful what he wishes for. As they walk away MVP tells security to escort them out of the building the minute their match is over.
Dixie Carter walks out to the ring with Rockstar Spud and she says that she had originally intended to come out and celebrate her nephew’s incredible win at Slammiversary. She says that not only did EC3 beat Bully but he destroyed him so much so that Bully isn’t even here tonight. Dixie says she will never go through a table and when you’re a star like her people want to leach off of her star and make themselves relevant like Tommy Dreamer. You can barely hear what Dixie is saying from all the boos. Dixie says MVP is just digging his grave deeper with all of his antics tonight but she is here right now to talk about someone else that has been digging their own grave, Tommy Dreamer. She says Dreamer is just trying to make himself relevant and make money off of her name and her company so instead of hiding behind his keyboard she has invited Dreamer to come out here tonight.
Tommy Dreamer comes down to the ring which starts a huge “ECW” chant. Dixie says seeing his face is making her remember him as the fans chant “Tommy Dreamer” very loudly. She says instead of Dreamer hiding behind his indy promotion or his Twitter slandering her he can do it to her face or he can do the right thing and apologize to her.
Dreamer thanks Dixie for having him tonight as another “ECW” chant starts up. Dreamer says they have always gotten along but what he is about to say is all business. He says when he sees her business a lot of times it leaves him scratching his head. Dreamer says they had a business disagreement that blew up on social media. He says that social media has changed the face of wrestling. He says they first met on Twitter when she DM’d him originally several years ago about possibly coming to TNA. She claims to not even remember it but Dreamer reminds her of the Hardcore Justice ECW themed PPV they put on. Dreamer says that the most important thing she did that night was that she did that PPV for the fans. He asks what happened to the woman that used to sit in the crowd with the fans at events. He says that since he left TNA he’s almost embarrassed to say he’s a wrestler because of all the crap he sees on TV associated with the business. Dreamer says what Dixie needs to realize is that her decisions not only affect the hundreds in the back but the thousands in attendance and the millions watching at home. He says the entire wrestling business wants this place to explode and work because she has hard working men and women that would die for her and this company. Spud says he would die for her. Dreamer says instead she comes out and makes Impact the “Dixie Show” and he reminds her that this show is called “TNA Impact Wrestling” not “Dixie Wrestling.” He says that ifs he wants her own reality show then she should go pitch it to Hollywood because the last time he checked she isn’t a wrestler. Dreamer says it is her responsibility to give the best product each and every week on TV. He says he runs a small promotion called House of Hardcore but he listens to the fans and the effect wrestling has on them. Dreamer says he knows there is still good in Dixie because she watched Dixie in the skybox at Slammiversary proud with her family, and he says his best memories are with his family just like Dixie. Dreamer says he watched Dixie explode like the “little fan she used to be” when Kevin Von Erich put The Claw on Zema Ion. He said for one moment it was about the wrestling and what the fans wanted. He tells Dixie to remember what the fans want and for once in her life do the right thing. He says the choice is hers and the wrestling business is on her shoulders for her to do the right thing.
Dixie hugs Dreamer and then knees him in the balls as Spud laughs at him! Dixie asks Dreamer if he realizes who she is as EC3 runs out and attacks Dreamer! Dixie asks Dreamer who he thinks he is calling her out on her own show. She tells EC3 to kick that “has been” out of her ring which EC3 happily obliges.
Kurt Angle is shown arriving in the back but Lashley and King meet him the minute he walks in the building. King tells him to turn right around and leave and is shown holding a pipe. Angle says he’s had two knee surgeries in the last few months and he doesn’t want a third. Angle just says he wants to talk to MVP and King tells Lashley to keep an eye on Angle while he goes to get MVP.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
MVP approaches Angle along with security in the back. He says he has to take care of something quickly but he will be right back to attend to Angle.
TNA World Tag Team Championships
The Wolves (c) vs. Bram & Magnus
Bram and Magnus attack The Wolves before the bell and double team Eddie in their corner as Davey is thrown to the floor. Magnus whips Eddie into the corner and charges at him but Eddie backflips over Magnus and catches him with a hurricanrana! Davey tags into the match and dives off the top with a Flying Axe Handle to the outstretched arm of Magnus as Eddie held his arm. Eddie then climbs up top and hits the same move and tags into the match. Davey kicks Bram off the apron and then The Wolves whip Magnus into the ropes. Eddie hits him with a drop toehold and Davey hits a Sliding Dropkick! Magnus rolls out to the floor but Eddie follows him only to eat a huge clothesline from Bram! Bram slams Eddie into the ring post and tosses Eddie back into the ring where Magnus is waiting. Magnus tags Bram into the match and he chokes Eddie before slamming his face into the mat repeatedly. Bram whips Eddie into the heel corner and Eddie attempts to fight out of it but Bram cuts him off with a knee to the gut. Bram goes for a Back Suplex but Eddie lands on his feet and then slides through Bram’s legs and reaches for a tag! Bram grabs Eddie by the legs and pulls him back only to have Eddie kick him off. Magnus tags Bram and stops Eddie from tagging out again but Eddie nails Magnus with an Enziguri and finally gets the hot tag to Davey! Davey ducks a clothesline from Magnus and Mafia Kicks Bram off the apron! Davey hits a series of elbows and clotheslines on Magnus followed by an Enziguri! Davey hits a series of nasty roundhouse kicks in the corner and then sidesteps a charging Bram causing Bram to run into Magnus! Davey shoves Bram into Magnus and then dropkicks him causing Magnus to pretty much DDT his own partner! Davey hits a Missile Dropkick on Magnus, 1…2…NO Magnus kicks out! Davey climbs up top again and dives off with the Ghetto Stomp, but Magnus moves out of the way and Bram tosses Magnus a chair who then throws it into Davey’s face!
Winners & STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: The Wolves via DQ
After the match Bram nails Eddie with a chair as well and Magnus continues to beat on Davey with the chair. Bram beats on Eddie with the chair before tossing Davey to the floor. Bram puts Eddie’s head inside the chair and Magnus climbs up top, but Willow and Abyss run out to make the save causing Bram and Magnus to retreat.
In the back MVP approaches Brian Hebner and he mocks Brian for possibly crying about his father. MVP says its business and not personal. He says Earl hasn’t been professional lately but Brian is professional so he is making Brian referee the TNA World Title match tonight. MVP reminds Brian that he is the one that makes sure Brian has a paycheck every week so he can put food on the table for his family. He says that Brian will count 1, 2, 3 on EY and that’s all he has to do. Brian agrees and MVP happily leaves him saying he has more business to take care of.
Taryn Terrell is shown backstage.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Backstage Bram and Magnus say they didn’t walk away from a fight and Magnus says their job was to beat up The Wolves and they did so. Magnus pulls out a wad of cash and says they were paid very well for that job. Willow and Abyss attack them from behind and they all four brawl around backstage.
Gail Kim is shown in the ring and she introduces the returning Taryn Terrell. Remember it was the series of matches she had with Gail Kim in 2013 that made Terrell a hot commodity in wrestling. She’s been gone for almost a year due to having a child. Gail says when Terrell first came to TNA she didn’t like Taryn, and she didn’t think she had what it took to hang in the Knockouts. Gail says at Slammiversary last year Taryn opened her eyes in their Last Knockout Standing Match. She says they beat the living hell out of each other and Terrell was trying to prove that she belonged. Gail says she did just that and that night she earned Gail’s respect. She says that is the reason she wanted to be the one to welcome her back tonight and then she hugs Terrell.
Taryn thanks Gail and the crowd and says she took the last year off to have her baby girl. She says that earning Gail’s respect is an honor to her and those matches with Gail were the highlights of her career thus far. She says that if she remembers correctly they each won one match and she thinks everyone would love to see a tiebreaker to find out who the best Knockout truly is, but before she can say anything else The Beautiful People interrupt them.
They mock Gail and Taryn and Angelina asks who died and made Gail the boss. She asks if she kicked Gail in the head too hard and asks if she forgot that she lost at Slammiversary. Angelina reminds them that she is the Knockouts Champion meaning that Angelina is the leader of the division. She says that Gail’s opinion doesn’t really matter. Angelina and Velvet mock the dresses the babyfaces are wearing and then Angelina introduces herself to Terrell by kicking her in the gut. Velvet and Angelina beat down Gail and Terrell, but Terrell fights back with uppercuts on them both! She clotheslines Velvet and then they toss BP out to the floor!
Backstage MVP approaches Angle and asks him what he wants. Angle says that he has been sitting at home watching everything play out, and being at home alone you start looking inside yourself. Angle asks MVP if he thinks what he is doing to get ahead is right. MVP laughs and says he would think the great Kurt Angle would want to show up and fight him or something instead of Dr. Phil “mind games.” MVP says he dominated this roster with his plan and instead of doing these mind games Kurt should celebrate with them. MVP says this is a fight that Kurt can’t win and he has two options: get with them or get the hell out of the building. Kurt stares MVP down and then King gets in Kurt’s face and says to get out before he is forced to get out. Angle warns King to get out of his face but King pokes his finger in Angle’s face and tells him to get out again. King shoves Angle and Kurt decks him! Lashley gets in Kurt’s face and Kurt asks him what he’s going to do but as security surrounds him Angle backs away.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Backstage security forces Terrell and Gail to leave the building. JB shows the backstage area which has been completely cleared out and then MVP walks up. MVP asks JB if he is sure that everyone is gone and then makes security drag JB out. MVP makes the camera man even put the camera down and leave.
