--COMMERCIAL BREAK--
Ya know, I have to say something about those Morphoplex commercials that always air during Impact. Why is it that a multi-million dollar company that had the resources to attempt to buy TNA has commercials that look like they were filmed with a low grade camcorder? Anyways, back to the match. Rhino is still on the offensive. Abyss goes for a choke slam, but Rhino gives him some elbows. Rhino runs right into a big boot. Abyss makes a cover for a 2 count. Hebner is shown looking on again, this time from the top of the ramp. Tenay mentions he is associated with TNA management somehow, but they aren't sure how. Abyss continues to work over Rhino. Rhino fights back with right hands. They fight up the aisle. Rhino nails a trash can across Abyss' head. Rhino grabs a chair and smashes it across Abyss' head. Rhino grabs the trash can again and nails Abyss with it. Rhino gives Abyss the Gore right through the wall just to the left of the entranceway, down on the ground. The ref throws the match out as both men lay on the ground motionless. Good match from two big men. I'd say the best match on Impact this week.
Winner: No Contest
-Paramedics check on both men after the match.
--COMMERCIAL BREAK--
-Tenay is in the ring with a microphone. He calls January 15th at Final Resolution when Sting came back one of the very select magical moments he has been apart of in this sport. He calls out Sting for his interview. The lights go out and Sting makes his entrance. Tenay gives Sting the microphone and the spotlight. The fans chant "welcome back." Sting yells his trademark "owwww" and says "Stinger in the house." Sting talks about March of 2001 when he wrestled what he thought was his last match against Flair in Panama City. He says as he wrestled that match, his whole career went before his eyes and he had memories of the Baltimore Arena where he won the title for the first time against Flair, the first Clash of the Champions in Greensboro against Flair, repelling out of the United Center in Chicago, repelling out of a hellicopter in Panama City. He says most of all he remembered the fans. The roar of the crowd and the electricity. One thing that happened that night in 2001 was he was unable to say goodbye to the fans. Sting says he has had alot of fans say over the years to him that they never had the chance to say goodbye to him, and they would say wrestling wasn't the same without him. He felt the same way as the fans. He missed the smell of the arenas and the roar of the crowds. When TNA management called him up and said they had just landed SpikeTV and they wanted to know if he would be apart of it. Sting says he started to tune in and see guys like AJ Styles, Abyss, Samoa Joe and a whole bunch of them that are the future and future world champions. He says when he saw them, he thought to himself this is his brand. The fans chant TNA. Sting says he agrees, TNA is awesome. Sting says when he had the offer, he couldn't refuse it. It was either now or never after 5 years had gone by. He says he came to Final Resolution and wrestled the first match in 5 years. The fans chant "you still got it." Sting says when he walked through the tunnel and when he heard the fans chant that the red blood cells were moving through his veins like never before. He says all the fans roars and in the bigger arenas didn't match up to those roars right there in Orlando at Final Resolution. Sting says those are not idle words, he means what he says. Sting says the one thing that was missing 5 years ago was the idea that he couldn't say goodbye the way he wanted to. He says Final Resolution was just that, it was his Final Resolution. He says he wants to take this oppurtunity to say thanks to TNA Management, Dixie Carter and the Carter family, and most of all he wants to say thank you to the fans in attendance and those watching. The fans chant "thank you Sting." He says he has to do this, it was a memory he doesn't want to forget and he doesn't want it tainted by anything. He says for the fans here and those in TV land. He wants to take this oppurtunity to say goodbye and thank you. The fans chant "please don't go." Sting says "I love you guys. Thank you for the memories. I love each and every one of you. But I'm saying goodbye." Sting drops his bat in the middle of the ring and exits the ring. He walks up the ramp as AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt, and Christian come out. They all thank him. Christian asks him why? Sting says he doesn't want anything to mess that up. Christian says "You still got it." Sting tells him he loves him like a brother and walks away.
