-The Impact opening airs right away to start the show.

2005 Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament - Finals
Chris Sabin & Shocker vs. Sean Waltman & Alex Shelley

Before the match, Waltman and Shelley go to shake hands with their opponents and then pull back to brush back their hair Ric Flair style. Shelley and Sabin start off. Shelley with a snap mare into a headlock. Shelley then locks on an arm bar and yells "This is wrestling people!" to the crowd. Shelley continues to work over Sabin with submissions. Sabin then gains the advantage in an armbar, before Shelley reverses it and quickly goes back on the offensive.

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

Shelley still on the offense working over the left arm of Chris Sabin. Sabin with a reversal and a series of armdrags. Shocker is tagged in. He quickly puts Shelley in an armbar, but Shelley fights out and tags in Waltman. Waltman with a standing headlock. Shocker sends him off into the ropes but Waltman nails a shoulder block. Waltman then comes off the ropes but Shocker executes a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Waltman quickly tags in Shelley. Shelley jumps off the top rope, but Shocker nails a dropkick on him as he comes down. Sabin is tagged in, and Shelley begs him off. Sabin nails a sit down drop kick. After dodging moves on the apron, Shelley sends Sabin down to the outside. Shelley with a suicide dive to the outside on to Sabin. Shocker then slingshots over the top rope and performs a cross body on to Shelley. Waltman then runs and flips over the top rope on top of Shocker, Sabin, and even his teammate Shelley. Waltman sends Sabin back into the ring and Shelley follows. Shelley tags in Waltman. Waltman with a loud chop on Sabin in the corner. Waltman with a snap mare, and he then locks on a headlock. Sabin fights out with some elbows. Waltman with a roll up for a near fall. Shelley is tagged in. Shelley with a punch to the gut of Sabin. Shelley slaps around Sabin in the corner. Shelley sends Sabin across the ring into the turnbuckle, then charges in with some knees. Sabin comes back with an enziguiri kick moments later and both men are down. Shocker and Waltman are tagged in. Shocker with a boot on Waltman, sending Waltman down to the floor. Shocker with a boot and face buster on Shelley in the ring. Shocker with another boot to Shelley. Shocker with a release German suplex. He then goes behind Shelley and holds him as Sabin springboards off the top rope with a drop kick, but Shelley moves and Sabin takes out Shocker. Shelley then nails a superkick on Sabin. Shocker mounts Waltman in the corner and nails some punches before Waltman lands a low blow followed by the X-Factor for the pinfall. After the match, the fans erupt into a Chris Candido chant.

-Sabin extends his hand to his partner after the match and they shake hands. Sabin is telling him he's sorry. Shocker then attacks Sabin from behind with a clothesline and lands some stomps and an elbow drop.

-Backstage, Shane Douglas is with Monty Brown. Douglas asks him about teaming with Kip James to take on Apolo and Lance Hoyt. Brown says Apolo needs to stop his crying. Brown says he is getting more and more dangerous every day as evident by what he did to Sonny Siaki. Brown then addresses Lance Hoyt. Brown says Hoyt is not a rising star. He calls him a "big, galloping, bafoon of a giraffe just waiting to gallop on to the Serengeti and get Pounced." Brown says while people are chanting "Hoyt, Hoyt, Hoyt" they will be getting "Hurt, Hurt, Hurt."

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

-Shane Douglas is with X Division Champion Christopher Daniels backstage. Daniels talks about this being the most important time in TNA's short history. He talks about the time ticking away until the big debut on Spike TV. He says the fans want to know who will step up and be TNA's saving grace. He says it will be him. He calls himself Mr. TNA. He says his heart has 6 sides and beats "TNA, TNA, TNA." He says he poses the question to AJ Styles and Samoa Joe whether they think they are the man to break his spirit and curb his desire? Daniels says that will never happen. He says on September 11 he will show everyone that his desire and spirit is Unbreakable.

Shark Boy vs. Samoa Joe
Well, this one should be quick. Shark Boy dodges Joe early and hits some right hand shots. He then runs right into an atomic drop and a leg lariat. Near fall. Joe with a headbutt in the corner. Joe then grinds his foot across the face in the corner. He comes in with a running kick, but Shark Boy grabs his foot and bites it. Shark Boy mounts Joe in the corner and hits his punches and shark bite. He comes off the ropes but runs into a powerslam from Joe. Joe then sets him up on the top rope and nails the Muscle Buster. Joe then locks on the Kokino Clutch and it's over.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Match Rating: *1/4

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

Eric Young w/ A-1 Ralphz vs. Chris Harris w/ James Storm vs. NWA World Tag Champion Andy Douglas w/ NWA World Tag Champion Chase Stevens & Jimmy Hart
Douglas and Harris argue and go at it as Young watches. Young then garbs them both and tries to headbutt them together before Harris sends him down. Douglas with a hip toss on Harris. Douglas then hip tosses Young over the top rope to the outside. Douglas works over Harris with some right hands. Harris comes back with an atomic drop and clothesline on Douglas. Young climbs back into the ring and works over Harris with some right hands. Harris grabs Young and throws him over the top rope back to the outside. A-1 checks on him. Storm then comes in, as does Chase Stevens, and it's a big brawl on the outside. Referee Rudy Charles then orders everyone not in the match to go to the back. Shelley and Waltman are shown watching the match on a monitor in the locker room. TNA really needs to learn to use a split screen so we can see what is happening in the ring. Young pulls Chris Harris out of the ring from the outside and throws him into the ring post. Young grabs Douglas and snaps his neck across the top rope. Young follows that up with a clothesline in the ring on Douglas. Young then with a hard irish whip sending Douglas into the corner. Young then sends Harris from the apron down into the ring side barrier. Young puts Douglas into a fireman's carry position and slams him down. Near fall. Harris gets back in the ring and attacks Young from behind with left hands. Young gets in a kick and a drop kick. Young scoop slams Harris in mid ring and then sends Douglas to the outside. Young goes up top and nails a flying elbow drop on Harris. Near fall. Douglas climbs back in. Young gives him a jawbreaker. Harris then comes off the top rope with a double clothesline on Young and Douglas. Harris with an Irish whip and facebuster. Harris with a delayed veritcal suplex on Douglas. Near fall. Harris sets up Young on the top turnbuckle and climbs up top. He goes for a superplex, but Young fights him off and sends him down to the mat. Young then with a missile drop kick on Douglas. Harris then nails the Catatonic on Young and gets the pin.

Winner: Chris Harris

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

Elix Skipper w/ Simon Diamond vs. Sonjay Dutt
Sonjay came out to Sonny Siaki's theme music for some reason. Skipper works over Dutt right away after attacking him from behind. Skipper then throws Dutt up into the air, and slams him down in a sit down powerbomb style. Skipper throws Dutt to the outside. Skipper pushes Dutt into the stairs before punching him a couple times and throwing him back in the ring. Skipper with a stomp. Dutt comes back with a kick. He then whips Skipper into the corner and runs in with a jump kick. Dutt comes off the ropes but runs right into a release overhead belly to belly suplex from Skipper. Skipper whips Dutt into the corner and comes in with a couple clotheslines. Skipper then with some kicks to the gut. A few moments later, Dutt dodges a clothesline after being whipped across the ring and nails a springboard drop kick to get a near fall. Dutt with a series of punches and kicks. Dutt with a flying head scissors. Dutt moonsaults off the middle rope and gets a near fall. David Young then runs out as Dutt climbs up top. Diamond pushes Dutt off the top rope as the ref is distracted. The ref then gets distracted by Diamond, and Young gets in the ring and nails a spinebuster on Dutt. Skipper then nails his Sudden Death finisher and gets the pinfall.

Winner: Elix Skipper

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

-Shane Douglas is backstage with Jeff Jarrett. Shane starts to say he is shocked to see Jarrett is not wrestling, but Jarrett interupts him. Jarrett says this game is all political (no kidding). He says he is responsible for the weekly PPVs, Fox Sports Net, and Spike TV. He says that TNA is still Planet Jarrett and he will be at Unbreakable this Sunday.

Abyss w/ James Mitchell & Rhino vs. Sabu & NWA World Heavyweight Champion Raven
All four make their entrances and we go to a commercial break before the match begins.

--COMMERCIAL BREAK--

The bell rings and here we go. Raven and Rhino fight as do Sabu and Abyss. Raven and Rhino's fight spills out to the floor. Sabu works over the legs of Abyss and pushes him to the outside. Sabu flips over the top rope and takes out Rhino and Abyss. Raven throws Rhino into the ring. Raven works over Rhino in the corner with some kicks. Rhino takes out a rag and puts it over the face of Rhino. Raven continues to work over Rhino before tagging in Sabu. Sabu with a flip leg drop off the middle rope for a near fall. Sabu then puts on a half camel clutch. Raven is tagged in. Rhino sends Sabu out of the ring to the floor as Mitchell distracts the ref. Abyss sends Raven into the guard rail on the outside. Raven then rolls back in the ring. Rhino works over Raven with some stomps and goes for a cover. Two count. Rhino throws Raven into the corner and works him over with some stomps. Rhino continues to work over Raven and tags in Abyss. Abyss chokes at Raven on the mat. Abyss sends Raven into the corner and nails a series of right hands. Rhino is tagged back in. Raven reverses a suplex attempt from Rhino and nails a snap suplex of his own. Raven crawls towards his partner, but Rhino charges in with a boot sending Raven rolling to the outside. Soon after they both re-enter the ring. Rhino with a knee drop. Rhino continues to stomp away at Raven. Raven comes back with a desperation charge, sending Rhino into the turnbuckle. Rhino quickly grabs Raven again as he tries to crawl away. Rhino works over Raven some more and puts on a headlock. Raven fights to his feet and nails a jawbreaker to break the hold. Rhino then with an axe handle smash sending a crawling Raven down to the mat. Abyss is tagged in. Abyss chokes at Raven in the corner. Abyss charges at Raven in the corner, but Raven moves and Abyss hits turnbuckle. Raven crawls towards his partner, and Abyss comes in with an elbow drop. Abyss then wrenches at the neck of Raven. Raven fights to his feet, but Abyss slams him back down. Rhino is tagged back in. Rhino with a leg drop. Near fall. Rhino with some more stomps working over Raven. Abyss tagged back in. Abyss climbs to the second turnbuckle and comes off with a leg drop, but Raven rolls away and doges the move. Sabu is tagged in. He comes in with a chair and takes out both members of the opposite team. Sabu springboards off the chair and sends Abyss to the outside. He then springboards off the chair again and jumps to the outside landing on Abyss. In the ring, Raven is in front of Abyss. Rhino charges in for a Gore on Raven, but Raven moves and he Gores his partner Abyss. Sabu then comes off the top rope with a leg drop with a chair under him on top of Abyss for the facebuster. Sabu makes the pin.

Winners: Sabu & Raven

Match Rating: **3/4

-After the match, Rhino Gores Sabu. Raven then attacks Rhino. Abyss takes out Raven. Abyss works over Raven with the chair. He chokes at him with the chair. Rhino with multiple chair shots on Raven. Raven rolls out of the ring as Abyss, Rhino, and James Mitchell celebrate in the ring.
