MEXICO TAKES HOME THE AMERICAS X CUP!
TNA's first inter-promotional Pay-Per-View with Team NWA taking on Team AAA for the Americas X Cup is in the history books, and what a spectacular event it turned out to be!
In the one night mega-event, Team NWA of Jerry Lynn, Chris Sabin, Primetime Elix Skipper and Sonjay Dutt took on Team AAA of Juventud Guerrera, Abismo Negro, Mr. Aguila and Hector Garza!
Team AAA went up in the point standings early in the four singles matches and never looked back - as Juventud Guerrera beat Chris Sabin, Hector Garza upended Sonjay Dutt and Abismo Negro went over Primetime! Only Team NWA Team Captain Jerry Lynn was able to pull out a win over Mr. Aguila!
The two tag team matches between NWA and AAA were split, as Juventud Guerrera and Abismo Negro beat Jerry Lynn and Sonjay Dutt, while Chris Sabin and Primetime were able to gain the win over Hector Garza and Mr. Aguila!
And in the huge eight-man elimination final - which got rave reviews and is being called by many a "Match of the Year" candidate, Team AAA won the Americas X Cup when Juventud Guerrera was finally able to eliminate Jerry Lynn with his Juvi Driver finishing move! Following the epic match, AAA owner and promoter Antonio Pena came to the ring with the Americas X Cup Trophy to celebrate the historic win with his team!
