Notes on when WWE workers find out who is drafted, and Randy Orton
On Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 1:29 PM EST -WWE is trying very hard to keep the draft as secretive as possible. John Cena didn't appear backstage at RAW until Jericho was on his way down to the ring. JBL was backstage throughout the day, possibly with the idea that him being there might word out to the internet that he would be drafted, and cause more shock when Cena shows up.
As for the person who moved to Smackdown (if you want to know who it was before Smackdown airs tomorrow, you can read the full Smackdown Spoilers here), the person was informed by HHH and Stephanie McMahon during RAW, and was told to keep the information to themself. The person did, and so far, the draft has been working for the WWE, as no spoilers have gotten out before any tapings. The element of surprise with the draft at least thus far has provided a usually missing element of surprise to WWE programming. Well done by WWE.
-A note for anyone wondering where Randy Orton was on RAW this past week, Randy is out rehabing from shoulder surgery. He did attend RAW last night along with his father Bob Orton Jr.
