Eric Thornton sent in the following:

I just wanted to send you some info. about Dave Batista. He appeared on The Elliot in the Morning show on DC 101 in Washington DC on Thursday. He was there promoting the show next monday at the MCI Center for Raw.

He talked about growing up around DC and being a bouncer at many clubs in the area. Batista took calls from and several of the calls were from people he went to school with. Some of the callers said he was a skinny kid in junior high and Batista said that was true.

He talked about how he got into wrestling when he met Animal of the Road Warriors and Curt Hennig up in Minneapolis at a body building show and they showed him the way into wrestling.

He talked about his try out with WCW being bad and not getting signed on there and then spending a year in OVW. He said it was torture.

He stated that he hated the Deacon Batista character when he was brought up to be on Smackdown. He hated being the jobber and being the bodyguard for Rev. Devon Dudley.

Batista said he prefers to play the heel and knows he is doing a good job getting the face over with the fans.

He said that when he was injured soon after joining Evolution, he was a little worried that they would replace him with someone else.

Elliot asked him if there was any guys he didn't like and Batista said that he did not like Bubba Ray Dudley because he is a bully and very mean to the young guys coming up.

Batista told Elliot that his home is in Reston, Virginia and his wife was probably listening and would get mad when Diane, another member of the show, attempted to put her hands around his body.
