Results courtesy of: NWATNA.comThe TNA Pay-Per-View started off this week with Abyss vs. D'Lo Brown, who was stepping up to the plate to seek revenge for AJ Styles after the monster put him out of action last week. Brown put up one hell of a fight, but in the end Abyss beat him with the Black Hole Slam. Following the match, Abyss chokeslammed D'Lo Brown from the ring apron through a table! D'Lo, bleeding from the mouth and suffering internal injuries, was taken to a local hospital for immediate treatment.X Champion Chris Sabin successfully defended his gold against number one contender Michael Shane! Following the match, there appeared to be a heated discussion between Michael Shane, Shane Douglas and Traci, but the group left the ring unified once more. This wasn't the last time we would see the New Franchise that night, however.Next up was Mike Tenay's sitdown interview with former Survivor star and new TNA signee Jonny Fairplay, who was wearing a neckbrace after the Powerbomb from AJ Styles last week. Fairplay announced that he had been given airtime by TNA officials on future Pay-Per-Views for a new show he's going to debut. However, Fairplay stormed out of the interview when Tenay brought up Rowdy Roddy Piper's name! Apparently, there's history between Piper and Fairplay, but the Survivor star refused to comment. The Gathering of CM Punk and Julio beat The Sandman and his mystery partner, Mikey Whipwreck! However, later on The Sandman dropped his biggest bombshell yet when he announced he was bringing in hardcore icon TERRY FUNK as his tag team partner next week against Father Mitchell's army!Up next, TNA Management Consultant Don Callis, Jonny Fairplay and the Redshirt Security were in the ring demanding Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher come out! Urlacher obliged, but after he was threatened by Callis and the Redshirts, the NFL star promptly cleaned house and tossed Fairplay out of the ring! The AAA Team of Juventud Guerrera, Abismo Negro, Hector Garza and Mr. Aguila beat Eric Young Shark Boy, Matt Stryker and Chad Collyer in eight-man action. Following the match, Team NWA of Jerry Lynn, Chris Sabin, Elix Skipper and Sonjay Dutt came to the ring for a showdown with their February 11 Americas X Cup opponents, but ended up shaking hands with the foursome as we draw nearer to the big inter-promotional Pay-Per-View event! The Redshirt Security of Kevin Northcutt and Legend won the NWA World Tag Team Title from 3Live Kru after interference from the New Franchise! Threatened with their jobs if they didn't bring the gold into Jarrett's camp, Northcutt and Legend got the job done - thanks in part to Shane Douglas - and are the new titleholders!Up next, The Insane Clown Posse came to the ring for an interview with Mike Tenay. After giving praise to their Juggalo Army for coming to the Asylum, Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J were rudely interrupted by the team of Glenn Gilberti and David Young, who attempted to smooth things over with the ICP and Jeff Jarrett. Shaggy and Violent J not only beat the hell out of Gilberti and Young for interrupting them, but they challenged the duo to a match next week as ICP makes their TNA wrestling debut!Jeff Jarrett, the Redshirts, America's Most Wanted, Gilberti and Young and many more were handcuffed at ringside for the next match, as Don Callis won total power of TNA from Erik Watts. But it wasn't Callis' wrestling that won him the match - it was the backstabbing Goldylocks! As Watts was about to chokeslam Callis for the win - Goldylocks came to the ring and hit Watts in the privates! Watts has been forced to resign from his position of authority - and Don Callis and Jeff Jarrett now run the show thanks to Goldy!Next week (February 4) on TNA Pay-Per-View:
-The fallout from Erik Watts being forced to resign - plus more on Goldylock's actions!
-Hardcore Icon Terry Funk and The Sandman vs. The Gathering
-The Insane Clown Posse make their in-ring debut against -Glenn Gilberti and David Young
-El Leon vs. Abyss
-NWA World Championship Match: Jeff Jarrett vs. A Mystery Opponent
-All this and much more!
