Former WWE star Phil “CM Punk” Brooks took to Twitter to respond to tweet asking when fans would see him “cry” again in the octagon after his debut loss back in 2016.
Punk claimed that would be taking place on June 9, which happens to be the date for the upcoming UFC 225 PPV taking place in his hometown of Chicago.
June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my beautiful wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team https://t.co/TmzRWR2kbn

UFC President Dana White stated back in January that Punk would be getting another opportunity inside the octagon, with the two meeting as recently as UFC 218 last year.
The UFC has yet to officially confirm Punk’s return as of this writing. Mike Jackson, who’s only pro fight was a loss against Mickey Gall in February 2016, is being heavily rumored as a possible opponent for Punk’s second pro fight.
