AAA Returning to iPPV
This week Konnan confirmed via the MLW Radio Podcast that AAA will be returning to iPPV this year starting with Rey de Reyes in March. It will be interesting to see how this goes after the TripleMania disaster. No price or location of the stream was announced however.
New Tour Busses
Wrestling Observer claims that AAA has purchased new “double decker” tour busses for the wrestlers to travel in. I’m sure it’s going to be nicer for the talent but that might actually be a bigger target for cartels to try and rob.

CMLL Losses TV Deal
It was revealed recently that Televisa has dropped CMLL from it’s weekend timeslot due to low ratings. Televisa agreed to keep the show as long as CMLL paid for the timeslot which CMLL refused to do. AAA is now trying to secure that timeslot from Televias and CMLL is negotiating with TV Azteca which co-owned and aired the legendary Promo Azteca promotion back in the 90’s.

The Return of CHIKARA
CHIKARA has been on hold (best way I can describe it) since mid 2013 and the whole thing has been rather confusing as some have suggested it was all a work while others suggested CHIKARA was officially dead. During this year’s National Pro Wrestling Day event in Palmer, PA CHIKARA made its return. During the Main Event of Joe Pittman vs. Heidi Lovelace a group of men came from outside the building and invaded the ring. Over the last several months a group of “villains” have been attacking left over CHIKARA starts at various promotions and this was a continuation of this. Some of the villains included Kizarny, Dr. Cube, BDK, and others. They beat Lovelace and Pittman down and promised to ruin National Pro Wrestling Day. CHIKARA tag team The Submission Squad ran out and said they would not let this continue. They were beaten down by the heels and then other CHIKARA babyfaces like Dasher Hatfield and The Colony ran out with others. The heels laughed and said they wouldn’t be stopped and then one of the hooded men took off his hood to reveal that it was Jimmy Jacobs. The other hooded men revealed themselves to be former CHIKARA heels Los Ice Creams and The Batiri and they actually attacked the other heels. The CHIKARA babyfaces and heels attacked the invaders and brawled all over the place. Then a big side opened and a Delorean (the car from Back To The Future) drove in and 3.0 and Archibald Peck (who hilariously supposedly had been trapped in the past after being hit by Eddie Kingston’s Backfist From The Future) came out and joined the fight! The CHIKARA stars eventually ran the villains off and then Icarus grabbed a mic and announced that CHIKARA’s return event would take place on May 25th! Mike Quackenbush was oddly absent during all of this.

– This was Sin Cara’s first post-WWE match and the biggest news coming from it was the fact that a CMLL star (Sombra) worked a match with AAA star (Argenis and Argos). Either Sombra shockingly got permission to do the match or he could be in big trouble with CMLL. There were lots of “Mistico” chants during the Main Event.
– Wrestling Observer claims the attendance for the event was 1,500. It was a outside show, on the street right outside of Sin Cara’s Lucha Gym.
